Y/N pov

"Leon?" I cocked my head to the right, confused as to what my old friend was doing."Hey. This guy bothering you?" He asked, gesturing to the store clerk, with an almost disgusted look on his face.
I couldn't help but let out a small scoff out of disbelief. Was my best friend from high school actually standing right behind me? Was some random dude actually trying to get something out of me? What's happening?
"We're just having a conversation, sir. I'm the manager of this store, so you can go now, thank you. Everything's fine, isn't it?" The clerk asked, turning to me and tilting his head.
All I could do was stand there. I almost felt bad for myself. But that would be stupid.
"Judging by what I heard and how she's acting, I doubt everything is 'fine', SIR." Leon argued, exaggerating the word, sir. He was mocking the clerk, of course. That's what Leon did best. Or at least from what I remember. He's good at making people look like fools.
"If you say so.." The man spoke, finally going back behind the counter, and resting his head in his palm. Leon seemed to noticed he was staring so he flipped him off. Such a Leon thing to do. Man... To think about it, I missed this dork.
"Dude are you okay-?" Leon asked softly, walking up next to me, and resting his hand on my shoulder.
I still couldn't speak. How pathetic... I was just really startled, and frankly, confused, but that's all..
"Y/n..?" He questioned, walking in front of me and lifting my chin up with his hand.
"You alive in there?"
Finally, I nodded and let out a soft laugh, locking eyes with him. Wow- he's. Well he's definitely different. I remember he used to have somewhat short hair, now it's all- fluffy? I'm not sure how I'd describe it now but it's definitely different. He's also wearing eyeliner..? He used to say makeup wasn't his thing, and it wasn't manly or something. And his outfit.. More or less, one could say his outfit was punk rock inspired. It definitely gave off the vibe. He used to dress in sports wear and t-shirts. Always having shorts, uniforms, merch from his favorite sports teams, all kinds of stuff like that. I can definitely tell he's changed.
"Um. Yeah- I'm alright. But- why're you here? W-well not like that. I meant like- what're you doing in a place like this, especially this late? I thought you moved?" I questioned, silently scolding myself for stuttering. How pathetic. I cant even talk.
"Hm? Oh! Yeah- I was going to move.. Actually that's kinda the whole thing.. My stuff is all in the united states, waiting at my cousin's house for me to go get, but.. The thing is, I'm not going." He spoke hesitantly as he removed his hand from my shoulder.
"Oh? Wait, why're you not going?" I asked, holding the items I had picked out close to me.
"Well. That's a story I'll save for later, k? For now, let's get out of here. This dude is seriously creepin' me out. And he's a perv.." Leon mumbled to me, smirking a bit before grabbing all three of the items from my grasp.
"Hey! What the hell's that for?" I questioned, not mad, just curious.
"I'm paying for ya. Duh.." He looked at me like I was stupid and set the stuff on the counter, keeping his eyes on the clerk and he slowly pulled out his wallet, grabbing a $10 bill from it. He handed it over and the clerk bagged my items. Leon quickly took the bag, scoffing at the clerk before looking back at me with a soft smile, handing over the bag.
"Here ya go!" He said all happy like an upbeat. Damn I'm jealous of that. I wanna be like that again..
"So.. Stranger.. Tell me. What're you doing out here alone at night? You realize people like those douches exist, and can and will cause harm to you. We wouldn't want that happening, now would we?" He spoke. That tone of his was.. Strangely alluring.
