A sigh broke past his lips as soon as he ended his stream. He leaned back in his chair while his head felt like it was spinning with thoughts about everything, yet he couldn't slow his mind down enough to focus on one. His eyes closed and the thoughts in his head began to muffle themselves together into a slight calming buzz.
No thoughts, head empty I guess.
He wanted to talk to someone, but he wanted to be alone. He wanted physical affection, but he wanted to be swaddled in his blankets by himself for hours while doing something.
His eyes half opened when he heard a knock on his door. A small creak resounded throughout the silent house as his mother stood there with her purse in her hand and hair done in a tight updo. A dress laid well over her figure as she slightly shuffled her feet, creating a small clicking sound from her heels.
"Hey, Tommy. Your father and I are going to head out for tonight and we probably won't be back til tomorrow afternoon. Don't forget to feed the dogs and take care of yourself. If you need anything you have our contacts. Feel free to invite a couple friends over. Love you."
"Love you too. See ya." A look of slight concern passed by his mother's face when she didn't hear any sort of joke or stupid comment, but she brushed it off as he was fine a little bit before his stream. And with the small pit of concern she walked out of his room, gently shutting his bedroom door, and proceeded to walk out of the house and to the car.
Tommy waited until he couldn't hear the car engine before pushing himself up off his chair. Walking out of his room, he passed by four doors before encountering his dogs laying by the couch. Both Betty and Walter perked up when they heard the slight crinkle of plastic that they have learned to recognize as the bag of food.
After the dogs had gotten their food and water, Tommy let out another small sigh. However, as he glanced out the window, a slight shimmer appeared in his eyes. He stared at the window for almost a full minute before darting back to his room and changing into a black tee shirt with a pair of loose but comfortable dark grey sweatpants.
He glanced at his phone, seeing the Dream SMP group chat blowing up. He didn't bother checking the messages when he turned on his 'Do Not Disturb' and tossed his phone on charge.
He practically sprinted back down the small hallway and almost crashed into the front door while running around trying to find his black tennis shoes before hurriedly throwing them on after finding them half shoved under the couch.
Making sure his keys were in the zipper pocket of his pants, he threw the door open (making sure it didn't hit the wall) and closed it. He tilted his head back as he heard the rumble of thunder loud above his head. Rain hit his face like bullets but rather than trying to cover his face, he embraced it. He walked towards the smooth pavement before flopping down quite harshly, but he didn't mind.
He didn't mind the rain beating down on his bare face and arms. He didn't mind the fact that he was getting soaked. He didn't mind the fact that he will probably catch a cold because of this. He didn't mind the roar of the thunder or the blindingly bright flashes of lightning. He didn't mind and he was comforted by it. Comforted from what? He didn't even know.
He stayed laying sprawled out over the concrete for hours. Not moving other than his chest going up and down, matching up with his breathing.
It was times like this he was grateful for the fact that he lived practically in the middle of nowhere on a road that barely had use to it.
