Harry wandered the woods, stepping over a few branches, avoiding to make any noises. "Hagrid," he whispered into the abyss. But no response. It was dark, and the only source of light came from a spell that Harry chanted for his wand to illuminate light.
People have spoke about different creatures that roam around at night. Some were harmless while others could rip you apart in a heartbeat. Harry had no idea what creature could do a thing, but he didn't want to find out.
"Hagrid—"
"Shh. You're being too loud."
Harry flinched, seeing Hagrid suddenly appear next to him.
"Did you bring your father's cloak like I asked you?" Hagrid asked.
Harry nodded. "Yes. Now, where are we going?" Smoke escaped his lips. After mindlessly walking in search for Hagrid, he now had time to process the cold hallow air. He suppressed a chatter from his teeth as he followed Hagrid.
"You'll see soon. Try not to make a noise and pay attention. This will be important," Hagrid replied almost in an ominous tone.
Reaching a patched area where the branches of the trees cleared light for the moon, Harry got a better look at Hagrid. His usual thick bushy hair was neatly combed, and his attire was more proper.
"Hagrid, is that a flower? And did you comb your hair?"
Hagrid looked at Harry with an amused smile. "As a matter of fact, I have. You might have to try the same thin—" Hagrid drew his lips together when a sudden loud snarl echoed, causing them stop in their tracks.
Harry immediately looked at Hagrid, while Hagrid looked around, listening onto the sound.
The empty forest had fog covering every corner, making it hard to see anything. The only lights that shined upon the two were the moon brightly going in and out because of the moving clouds, and the lantern Hagrid was holding.
"Hagrid?" A female voice was heard. Hagrid got side tracked, getting hooked by the voice instead. A smile appeared on his face when familiarity washed over.
He began walking to the voice but paused, turning around to Harry. "Put on the cloak would ya," he hurried.
As Hagrid started walking, Harry put the cloak around him to make himself invisible and tried finding a place to secretly watch.
"Bonsoir Olympe!" Harry adjusted his glasses getting a better look at the two, his gaze went from Hagrid to the mysterious lady.
"Oh Hagrid, I thought perhaps you wouldn't have come. I thought you have simply forgotten me." He soon realized it was Madam Maxime that came to meet with Hagrid. The two exchanged smiles, holding each other's hands to embrace one another.
