A blinding white light flashed in Y/N's eyes, forcing her to shield them for a moment before the brightness softened.

"Don't tell me you're sensitive to bright light now. You're already sensitive to so many things," a familiar voice teased.

No

"And you're silent. Is this your way of showing me how upset you are?" the voice continued.

No. Please, no.

A figure stepped closer, and Y/N automatically moved back. "You're not real."

Her sister, Adonis Y/L, paused, gathering her thoughts. Y/N noticed a depth in her sister's gaze—a blend of understanding and comfort that felt achingly familiar.

"It's all about how you perceive this, Y/N," Adonis said softly. "I'm here because you need me to be. This moment, well, it's an opportunity to look at what you've been avoiding."

Petals carpeted the grassy hills around them, a mix of colors stretching far and wide. Flowers blossomed abundantly, creating a vibrant sea that seemed endless. The sky had an almost surreal quality, with the sun shining brightly, illuminating everything in sight.

Y/N dropped to her knees, her gaze locked onto her sister. She took in every detail—Adonis's brown bronze hair, cascading to her shoulders just as Y/N remembered. The inquisitiveness and relief in her eyes were unmistakable, those same eyes that had always felt like home.

It was truly her sister.

The corners of Adonis's lips curved upward, echoing the warmth of their mother's smile, the very smile Y/N had inherited. Adonis wore a violet dress that flowed down to her bare feet, her makeup flawless and jewelry glimmering.

It was the last look Y/N had seen before Adonis vanished from her life.

"This can't be real," Y/N whispered, her breath hitching as panic set in. Her heart raced, pounding against her chest, and she felt powerless to regain control.

Adonis knelt beside her, sharing in the weight of their grief. "Sister, I have missed you. Does it really matter if this is real or not? I'm here."

Y/N's disorderly feelings filled her, but all she could focus on were the tears streaming down her cheeks, the cool air doing little to soothe her breathing.

"Why did you do it? Why did you leave me, Adonis?"

Adonis's gaze softened, her voice quiet. "I never meant to leave you, Y/N. I thought I was protecting you. But I love him."

Y/N shook her head, frustration mixing with sadness. "You could have stayed. We could have figured it out together."

"I know, and I wish things were different. You have to believe that I wanted to be there for you," Adonis replied, reaching for Y/N's hand. "You're my sister. I've always been by your side, even when you couldn't see me."
