dereks pov: i sit behind meredith as she pushes, hard. "oh my god derek why the hell did you do this to me," she says in between screams. cristina looks at me, hard. "stupid penises, why do men exist? ughhhh," mer says. then, i hear a baby crying. our baby. the ob wipes her up, and weighs her, and hands her to us. "its a girl. 7 pounds 12 ounces. congratulations. i will come back and check on you in a few minutes. she hands her to mer, and she cradles her in her arms. "hi baby," mer says. "hi,". we sit for a while, just holding her. after a while, mer drifts off, and i put ellis in the crib next to us. i fall asleep next to mer after quickly calling amelia to check in on zola. i rest my arm over meredith, and fall asleep. the next morning, i take ellis and meredith to check on bailey. zola and amelia are going to meet us there.
merediths pov: i hold ellis as derek wheels me over to baileys room. amelia and zola are already there, sitting next to him. "mama! daddy!" zola says when she says us. bailey looks up from his ipad as well. "hi zozo! hi bails!" i say. "do you want to meet your new baby sister?" derek helps me up next to bailey and show him ellis. "this is your sister ellis. youre a big brother now bailey." i say. "shes so cute!" zola says. "can i hold her?" "yes, of course. auntie amelia can help." derek says. amelia walks over next to us, and i hand ellis to her, and she lets zola help a little bit. we all sit together for a while, and everyone gets a chance to hold ellis a little bit.
