A new Co Worker + How They Met

Boyfriend looked up in disbelief.

"I'll be working with you starting today. My name is Sky. It's a pleasure to meet you." Sky introduced herself.

"No way!" He thought.

Later in the day, Boyfriend saw Sky in the break room.

"Why are you here?" He asked.

"I'm staying so that Girlfriend doesn't cause any mayhem!" Sky answered.

"You're still on that, huh?" Boyfriend replied. 

Girlfriend could sense something was wrong when Boyfriend came home from work. She kept sniffing him.

"That strange smell..." She began. "It's another demon!" She concluded. Girlfriend got in Boyfriend's face. "Are you cheating on me?!" She asked.

"Sky works where I work, now. Not that you and me are dating, but, no. Nothing's going on." Boyfriend explained. The dark look left Girlfriend's face, and the two of them had dinner.

The next morning, there was a ring at the door. Boyfriend opened it, and it was Sky. 

"Good morning, Boyfriend." She said in a formal tone.

"Uh, Good morning?" Boyfriend replied uncertainly. "What is it?" 

"I wanted to apologize for destroying your living room and challenging your maid to a fight. Now that we're co workers, I don't want there to be toxicity between us." She said.

"Oh, no worries!" Boyfriend said. As always, Girlfriend was lurking around the corner. She had a look of resentment in her eyes as she stared at Sky. Sky noticed her.

"Girlfriend! I'll just have you know that you will be under my surveillance if you plan anything---"

"Begone, Sky." Girlfriend Interrupted her. She opened her mouth, formed a fireball, and aimed it at her. Boyfriend ducked. Sky got blasted through the door, and way off into the distance. Girlfriend walked up to Boyfriend. "Boyfriend..." She began. Boyfriend looked up at her. Girlfriend lowered her head in disappointment of herself. "I'm selfish." Boyfriend stared at her.

"I've never been wanted before. I have had friends, but never close friends, and sometimes, I even put distance between myself and others. so..." He put his hand on Girlfriend's head, and patted it. "Thanks." He said. Girlfriend closed her eyes and smiled.

1 Week Later

Boyfriend had just finished his breakfast, and was getting ready for work. 

"Boyfriend?" Asked Girlfriend.

"Hm?" He replied.

"What would you like for dinner tonight?" She asked.

"Well, anything works." Boyfriend answered. Girlfriend lifted her tail and pointed to it.

"Maybe not." Boyfriend said. Girlfriend lowered her tail in disappointment. "What would you like to eat?" He asked.

"Curry chicken and rice I suppose." Girlfriend said.

"We'll go with that, then." Boyfriend replied.

"When do you think you'll be getting home tonight?" Girlfriend asked Boyfriend when he was about to leave the door.

"About ten, I think." He said.

"Okay!" Girlfriend replied. She got through the daily chores pretty quickly. All that was left was to prepare dinner. She made one plate of curry and rice, sat down, and tried it. "Average?!" She thought after she took a bite. She stared at the plate. "Though there's nothing wrong with it, I want it to be a little more special... Boyfriend hates tail, though." She said. Suddenly, the doorbell rang. It was Carol. "Hi, Carol!" Greeted Girlfriend.
