{With Kimberly}

Someone knocks on Kim door, but Kim was sobbing in her pillow, not caring who was at the door.

Kim: go away?!

Esme: *opens the door* baby girl it's me can we talk

Kim: *wipes her tears, and glares at the head wall on the bed* I don't want to talk about it

Esme sits down on her bed, and rubs her daughter back in circular motion.

Esme: but, talking will help, if you talk it out?

Kim: *looks at her mom* How does talking help?

Esme: *sighs* honey, just please tell me what's wrong? Maybe I'll understand

Kim: it's Jake

Esme: you mean Jacob Black

Kim: yes mom he's the only Jake I know

Esme: Alright then what's the problem?

Kim: I don't understand why there is conflict between our two families.

Esme: Honey we talked about the treaty, and you know the rules of it, and so far you broken to many of them, that's what your father is upset with you about

Kim: but it's not fair mom. I like Jake, and he likes me.

Esme: and how do you know that?

Kim: *looks down smiling a bit* He told me he had an imprint on me. And in the Quileute legends, you can't separate an imprint for too long.

Esme: how do you know that?

Kim: Billy, told us at the bonfire it was one of the stories he told, it's tribe secrets though

Esme: I'm sorry sweetie, but there's nothing I could do about it, and when your father comes up here, we're going to talk punishment

Kim: why? What did I do wrong?

Esme: you snuck out of the house after I forbid you not to go. You ran into the woods again, and you validated the treaty numerous times.

Kim: but the pack says I'm always welcome because I'm Jake's imprint. I'm nothing like you guys, so why do I have to be the one to suffer.

Esme: sweetheart, I'm sorry, but the only person you have to talk to about this, is your father. But I don't think he will allow it because he doesn't like putting his family endangered, just because of love.

Kim: well if you and dad were in my situation, wouldn't you want me to be happy?

Esme went quiet for a minute, not knowing what to say, when there was a light knock at the door.

Kim: *looks at her mother, then back at the door* comes in

Carlisle comes into Kimberly's room and sits down next to Esme.

Kim: *sits up, and hugs a stuffed monkey* So what's my punishment?

Carlisle: let your mother and I talk this one out through first

Carlisle and Esme stepped out of the room for a moment. Kim sighs and hugs the stuffed monkey that Emmett bought for her 10 birthday, which reminds her she promised Emmett she would wash his car. Her parents came in moments later, she said.

Kim: well... *brace herself*

Carlisle: well... we decided, to ground you for 3 months

Kim: *bites bottom lip* oh...
