Chapter Two: Lunch With The Enemies

In English class.
I was writing notes in class, when the guy behind me passed me a note. I turned around after I grabbed and looked at the teacher to find him writing on the board. I opened the note and read it

Do you have any idea where Edward is? - Bella

She looked toward her and she just smiled and Kim looked at the teacher and he was still writing and she quickly wrote her back.

Went on a camping trip with the others, couldn't go but my parents have their reason- Kimberly

I passed it back to the guy and he passed it to Bella and I quickly went back to pretending to jot down notes as I got a nod from Bella.

-During Lunch-
Kimberly told Sadie that she was going to hang out with Jacob and she gave her a hug and wished her some luck. Kimberly ran out of the building and spotted Jacob leaning against his bike. He spots her and Kimberly runs over to him and Jacob hands her the hamlet.

Jacob: ready to go?
Kim: uh-huh

Kim put on the helmet and Jacob got on she got on afterwards and he turn on his engine and drove away.

Kim: *hangs on to him as they leave the school* So... where are we going?
Jacob: thought we would have lunch in Port Angeles
Kim: but I have to be back in an hour for class and will never make it in time. If my parents find out I was cutting school with you I'm dead
Jacob: hey don't stress, everything will be fine, you'll be fine. Will be back before anybody knows you were gone
Kim: *takes a deep breath* fine I trust you
Jacob: good now hang on so you won't fall off
Kim listened to what he did, and Jacob did a few trips on the bike causing Kimberly to freak out and Jacob chuckles.
Kim: not funny you almost gave me a heart attack
Jacob: *smirks* sorry
They got to Port Angeles, Jacob parked his bike and got off and helped her off. We walked into the restaurant, and the waitress took us to our tables and handed us the menus and left us alone.
Jacob: so... have you decided what you want yet?
Kim: *looks at the menu then up at him* nope still looking
Jacob: *smiles and looks down at menu*
The waitress came back a few minutes later and took their orders and they waited awhile in awkwardness.
Jacob: well this is awkward
Kim: yeah it's been a while since we last talk
Jacob: yeah sorry I had work and reasons
Kim: *sighs* everybody does
Jacob: what's wrong?
Kim: they treat me like a baby, they think I don't know anything but I do, I just don't feel like I'm apart of the family anymore
Jacob: it's because your different, you just got to give them some time
Kim: it's been 15 years. I think I gave them plenty of time. I just want to know what's up and what they're not telling me?
Jacob: look I so badly want to tell you...  but I can't because I made a promise with your family and Edward would kick my ass
Kim: oh yeah he would, and if he finds out I went to lunch with you during school hours I don't know how long you will have survive on this planet
Jacob: hey if your brother hurts me, then my entire family will come for him.  Just give your family some time their just over protective of you
Kim: ugh! I know it sucks so much to be the baby of the family, it annoys me so much. Can we changed the subject, I had enough of my family
Jacob: as do I. Have you ever been cliff diving before?
Kim: I don't think that such a great idea, that seems dangerous
Jacob: What are you scared of?
Kim: of my family yes, my sister always knows what I'm up to. I don't know how but she does. I bet she has a lot of dirt on me too and hasn't told mom and dad yet. She probably knows I'm here with you too! Which is why I could never go cliff diving, ever because it would consider to be dangerous
Jacob: Are you seriously gonna listen to what your sister says? I bet you can't even stand up to her and jump off the cliff
Kim: I bet you I can!
Jacob: I believe that's a challenge my dear
Kim: well bring it Black, after school cliff diving
Jacob: sure Cullen I'll come pick you up in my Rabbit (which he calls his car)
Kim: great then it's date
Jacob: huh?
Kim: I mean great then we should bake a cake
Jacob just smirked and the waiter came back with their food and they began eating in awkwardness.
