I felt a hand rubbing my back and a someone saying, "Wake up honey, it's your big day!" Right, that's my mom, Mary, who else could it be. She's been trying to wake me up for the last half hour because I slept through my alarm for school. But then again, I slept in today because it's my graduation and my birthday, and I may have partied a bit too much last night.

"You up and ready yet dork??", Melissa shouts from down the hall. That's my little sister, she's awesome but she's the real dork. Melissa was much shorter than me, about five-six. She has long black hair that's down to her mid-back. She's a very thin girl with bright blue eyes, very outgoing but somehow always shy around other people. Growing up she was always lazy too, thankfully she was only like that when it came to dressing up. Probably because she had an older brother instead of an older sister to influence her that way. No matter how formal of an event we went to, she wanted to go in her sweatpants and a jacket even though she'd go in a dress and heels.

"I'm getting up punk!", I shout back to Melissa from my bed. "Well stop being such a lazy bum Dante." I sat up and looked to my left at my doorway to see Melissa standing there as though she just woke up herself.

"How can you can me a lazy bum when I go in later today? Plus you're still a freshman until the day is over which means you still have to deal with class."

"That may be true, but I've already been given credit for my first period so I doubt have to go in until second period," Melissa said confidently.

"Mom already left for work so you're going to have to take me with you," she said it with a smile because she knows I wouldn't leave her.

"That's fine. I'm going to be meeting the guys and Alexis for breakfast, they won't mind if you come with. I know Alexis would love to spend some time with you," I tell her calmly.

Alexis is about five-eight, light green eyes, shoulder length, straight brown hair, thinner but very curvy and she has an extremely beautiful smile. She came from a semi-broken family for she lives with her dad and younger sister. Her parents had gotten a divorce after her sister, Emily was born because her mom was becoming a very abusive alcoholic. Her dad, Paul, won full custody of both of them during the divorce. Luckily he's been a good father and a good mother figure to both of them.

We got into the car and drove to Denny's and meet up with the group. Alexis and Melissa spent most of their time at breakfast talking with each other about girly stuff. I'm not exactly sure what it was because I tuned them out side it wasn't my business.

We finished up breakfast and headed out to class. Chris, Ali and Curtis had carpooled so they didn't have to waste gas, smart move since gas prices were still high after the attack a few years ago. Hopefully something like that doesn't happen again. But we made it to class after a ten minute drive. Well it looks like everyone is excited for the graduation ceremony later tonight. But for now I have to go and rehearse for it.
