When I walked into the training school the next morning, I saw Emrada with four people I didn't recognise. They were all men and dressed in the same outfits. As I walked through the gates, the five of them turned and stared at me. Tye, who was standing beside me, wrapped an arm around my waist. I gulped. The four men made their way towards me with Emrada trailing behind them.

"Well? Who's this?" the tallest one asked,

"Trainee Adelaide and Trainee Tye, sir," she said, gesturing to us.

"A girl? Really?" asked the blonde one,

"Yes, really," Emrada said, "I have to admit, I was a bit shocked when she came in,"

"Shut it, Torch," said a man with a dark braid of hair, elbowing the blonde in the ribs.

"Ow! Levi, you stupid ass! I think you broke my ribs!" Torch howled. Levi just stood there, grinning. The tall one sighed,

"Look at you, fighting as always. What is wrong with you two?"

"It's his fault!" Torch and Levi complained.

"I don't care whose fault it was! Shut up and stop fighting!" roared the last man, a big, muscular guy with tanned skin and short, dark hair. Torch and Levi quickly stood up and brushed the dirt off their bodies. I sighed and turned to Emrada,

"Who are they and what are they doing here?" I asked,

"Keepers. Harod, Torch, Levi and Jax," she said pointing to the men, "They're here on business duties,"

"Oh, are they now? It doesn't look like it to me," I said,

"They're always like this," she said, sighing,

"Really? For Keepers, they sure act immature."

"Yeah," Emrada said, "Sometimes, I feel like I'm their mother,"

"Fun fun," I say sarcastically,

"Hey! Emrada and whatever-your-name-is, we can hear you!" Levi called to us,

"My name's Adelaide and I don't care!" I yelled to him. Cue chorus of 'Ooh's. I groaned. They all laughed,

"Hey! Back off! She's mine!" Tye said from beside me, pulling me closer to him.

"Aww! You didn't let us call shots! Unfair!" Levi complained,

"Nope. I had shots on her before you did," Tye responded.

"Shut up Levi, you flirt," I said, poking my tongue out at him. He grinned cheekily. "Guys! Can we go now?" whinged Torch. Harod glared at him,

"Shut up and stop complaining. We all know you're hungry. We'll get food later," he said.

"Can someone else go get it? I'm starving!" Torch complained,

"No! We're busy here and the others aren't our slaves!" Harod snapped,

"Okay," Torch said, sitting down in the dirt and pouting. I giggled,

"He's weird. Where'd you find him?" I asked Jax,

"I'd like to say that we found him in a gutter, but I'd be lying," Jax said with a chuckle.

"He's not dirty enough," I said,

"His mind is," Jax said,

"Great. That makes two," I said, pointing to Tye. Jax laughed.

"I think...." Harod said, "We're finished here." Torch stood up and ran around with his hand above his head,

"Finally! Food!" he yelled.

"Let's go!" called Harod, "We have a queen to meet at noon and we can't be late!" the men scurried after him as he left.
