When we'd finished in the bath house, we made our way back to the rooms,

"Hey! Who's up for drinks?" Kayda called out as we passed an alehouse,

"Nope!" said Tye,

"Me neither," I said,

"I'm on a ban, so you can count me out too," said Eron, a Spirit Worker,

"Aww! Come on! You guys are no fun!" she complained, "Is there anyone else chickening out?"

"I'm game!" said Teala, the Water Mage,

"I'll tag along for the fun of seeing you lot drunk," said Aria,

"Don't you wanna drink?" Kayda asked,

"Nah... Not really... Well, okay, maybe one or two..." Aria said,

"I'll go, but I ain't drinkin'." said Adra, the Earth Mage, who generally frightened common folk into keeping a four or five arm-span radius away.

"Suit yourself..." said Kayda with a shrug, "But you're missin' out on all the fun!"

"Not after last time!" Adra snapped,

"Why? What happened last time?" I asked,

"I got in a little spot of street trouble an' I don't wanna do it again." she said,

"Why ain't you goin' home with the chickens?" Kayda asked,

" 'Cause you guys are funny when you're drunk," she said. Kayda bowed,

"Happy to help!" she said mockingly.

The party split up, with Tye, Eron and myself heading home and Adra, Kayda, Aria and Teala going into the alehouse. The walk home was reasonably quiet, save for the odd drunk singing some bad song while laying in the gutter. When we came to Forest Road, Eron said goodbye and departed, leaving us together. Tye wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him.

"So... What do you want to do now?" he asked,

"Hmm... I wanna go to bed!" I said,

"Aww... Come on! It's still a fair while 'til sundown!" he complained.

"So? I wanna sleep!" I whined,

"Oh... I suppose so... There's nothing much to do anyhow," he said with a sigh,

"Good. I'm worn out from such a busy day!" I said,

"Busy? We have't exactly done much..."

"Shut up."

"A little harsh perhaps?"

"No." he sighed and pulled me towards our building. We went up the stairs and down the corridor. We stopped in front of my room and I let myself in. I began closing the door,

"Hey! Don't I get to come in?" he asked,

"No... Or at least, not until I've finished changing!" I said, closing the door in his face. I quickly changed and opened the door again to let him in. He smiled and shut the door. I sat down on the bed and he perched himself next to me.

"So... What's this about going to bed?" he asked. I smacked his arm,

"Shut up," I said. I picked up my dragon egg and put it in the closet before climbing into bed,

"Hey! Move over!" he ordered,

"Okay." I said, shifting so he could lie down next to me. Only then did I notice he had taken off his shirt.

"Sleep?" he asked,

"Yeah." I said, staring at him,

"Like what you see?"
