You Can't Fight This Alone

Chapter 11: Running Wild

It's been a week since the event and everything is ok now Roman and I sat down to talk a few things through, now i was back in homeschooling again joys. Although a new guy has joined and i have to say he's pretty hot. All the other girls are falling for him, I would too but I want to study and hang out with Dean, Roman and Seth more.

"hey, Lexi right?" I looked up staring back into his eyes gosh he was hot at fifthteen he stood tall at 6"0 he was skinny but had alittle muscle on him with brown shaggy hair covering his eyes I could see why every girl was swooning over him.

"Umm yeah.. hi and you are?" I stuck my hand out he glasped it shaking my hand gently.

"Michael, i'm one of the crews kids, just here for a few months while my mom moves trying to find us a place to live." He gave a warm smile.

"Cool, so ... do you like it here?" I felt a little akaward i had no idea what to say or do.

"Yeah, I mean it's alright my friends back home never believe me, I use to come here alot during the holidays i bet you do too right?" We sat down in the cateen area just chatting, the bullies were giving me evil eyes.

"No i only just got here I live here, on the road, with the shield." I looked down at my plate of fruit.

"Wow, really? thats totally awesome, with the shield thats amazing I would love to meet them! Are they really scary or not?" He nudged my arm.

"No they are lovely they look after me, giving me a family i hadn't had for awhile. Anyway I can see you have fans over there." I directed my eyes to the 'bullies', standing up i walked away from him. He looked suprised. 

Once I was in the hallway I took a deep breath, but I heard footsteps closing behind me, Lexi wait up he grapped my hand making me turn round, i accidently bumped into his chest.

"I don't want to know about those girls, they are dumb but you are different and I like that, please let us be friends?" He rubbed the back of his head.

"I've never really had any friends before, but I would much like one though." Giving him a smile.

"I'll watch out for you around those girls don't worry you'll be safe with me. Well I gotta go frind my dad, can we um...hug or something." He looked more awakard than I did ealier. I gave a slight nod followed with a giggle. He wrapped his arms around me, he was a good hugger.

"Hey! Kid what you doing! Get off of her." It was The Shield, ugh can they ever let me have a little freedom.

Michael was pulled away from me by Dean, throwing him on the floor, Michael looked up in fear for his life most likely, "Cya Lexi!" He yelled as he ran down the hallway.

My anger grew and grew from every word Dean and Seth said.

"Lexi, are you ok?" Dean spoke raising his voice checking me over.

"Did he hurt you?" Seth now.

"I'll kill him!"

"Who is he anyway?" The questions and statments kept coming. I stepped back.

"OH MY GOD GUYS SHUT UP! I'M FINE, HE'S CALLED MICHAEL I JUST MET HIM TODAY HE'S NEW! NO YOU CAN NOT KILL HIM! HE'S MY ONLY FRIKIN' FRIEND I GOT, JUST FOR GOODNESS SAKE LEAVE ME THE HECK ALONE!"

Pushing past them I stormed past Roman who didn't say anything before, he went to speak but I bought my finger up. "NO DON'T SAY ANYTHING SHUT UP AND LEAVE ME ALONE!" He gave me a sad look but nodded heading over to a shocked and speechless Dean and Seth.

UGH, they were just annoying me so much, now Michael won't want to be my friend and I said they were nice people yeah I was wrong!

I kept running heading down a dark hallway great now I'm lost.

"Lexi?" I heard Michael.

"Michael I'm so sorry they were just being dorks." He was physically shaking poor guy head between his knees. He simply nodded.

"Here have my number, if you ever want to chat to me we can." I smiled as he gave me his hone to type my number in.

"Thanks." He replied, atleast he wanted to keep talking to me.

"Come on lets get out of here for a bit  and head back to my hotel, will your dad be alright with that?" I asked him taking his hand helping him up

"Yeah we can stop by and ask, thanks Lexi, just don't tell anyone i acted like a baby." He seemed embarrassed.

"Na I won't they are scary, but they will warm up to you, i promise."

After visiting his dad and asking him if he could stay with for a bit and that no funny business would happen we laughed then left for the hotel, I texted Roman saying I'll meet them at the hotel, well it will atleast be fun for them to all meet...again...more nicely.
