"That's not fair!" Brett grumbled as he peeked at Eddy's quiz paper. "We go to the same tutorial! How the hell did you get full marks? I just barely passed!"

Eddy shrugged. "I don't really need to come, but I got 92 marks in my test last week and my mom decided I needed extra lessons."

"92 marks?" Brett said in mock horror. "My mom would be ecstatic if I got an 80."

"Well, I can help you if you want." Eddy offered.

"Who needs your help." Brett retorted sulkily, then in a tiny voice, "...Um, how did you get question 7?"

---

"That's not fair! Why do you have perfect pitch?!" Brett groaned.

"Cuz geniuses are born, not created~" Eddy wiped his tears dramatically as he rolled around in laughter on the bed. Brett threw a pillow at him.

"I can't believe the conductor yelled at you for 10 minutes cuz you couldn't tune. Ahahaha…"

Brett gritted his teeth and gave Eddy a death stare. "Shut up!"

"Aw come on, I was just kidding. I'll help you tune, okay?" Eddy returned with a cheeky grin.

"Humph. You better."

---

"That's not fair!" Brett shoved Eddy away, who was conveniently using Brett's right shoulder as an armrest. "I'm a year older than you! How, how the fuck did you grow a whole 10 cm taller than me over the summer holidays?"

Eddy threw his head back and laughed. "Because I work out, and you don't."

"I'm a musician! I'm not supposed to exercise!" Brett protested, his plump cheeks rosy from the burning heat. At least that's what he told himself.

It absolutely had nothing to do with how sweat was rolling in slow motion down Eddy's tanned neck, or how Eddy was towering over him protectively.

Eddy stepped between the sun and Brett. As the smaller boy squinted upwards, Eddy smiled gently. "This way,  I can shield you from the heat."
And from the rest of the world.

---

"That's not fair!" Brett stuck out his lower lip as he threw his phone down. "We both got new haircuts, so why is everyone saying that your haircut looks good but no one is talking about mine?!"

Eddy reached out and ruffled Brett's hair lovingly. "Because you always look good, baby."

Brett was still pouting, but the tip of his ears turned an adorable shade of pink.

"And you know what else isn't fair?" Eddy grinned.

"What?" Brett snapped, his cheeks still puffed up.

Eddy leaned in and murmured, "My boyfriend is cuter than your boyfriend."

Brety blinked in confusion. "But I'm your boyfri- Oh." He stuttered as the realization hit him.

"Yes. Oh."

Brett blushed furiously as he attempted to hide his face in a cushion. Eddy just laughed and hugged him from behind.

Bonus

"That's not fair, Brett." Mama Yang said in exasperation. "You can't just let Eddy pay for everything!"

"Mom-" Brett started.

"It's okay, Auntie. I promised to take care of Brett and I'm planning on keeping my promise till the end of the world. It's actually not fair for Brett, because I'm getting the most valuable treasure in the world in exchange for my love and care." Eddy wrapped an arm around Brett, unconcealing love and adoration in his eyes.

"Well, I guess you can be unfair for once." Brett had his nose up in the air, but the faint pink in his cheeks didn't escape Auntie Yang's or Eddy's eyes.
