Into the Storm (Niley forever)

The Very Beginning

Miley POV

"Can you believe it is already our 2 year anniversary Nicky!!" I say, jumping into his arms as I see him in the hallway of our high school

"Time has gone by so quickly. I feel like we were 12 and 13 just yesterday when we were partners in Biology and well, the chemistry was definitely there between us." He says laughing at his own joke while he embraces me in a hug and I wrap my legs around him.

"I know right. Now I am nearly 15 and I have never loved anyone as much as I love you."

I get down and he pulls me in for a kiss.

"Get a room you two," Joe says, annoyed at our open display of affection. "No one else wants to see this."

Joe and I are super close. He is almost like my older brother and we see each other practically every day. Kevin is Nicks other brother. He is a few years older than all of us and already has a wife and kid.

Joe walks away, looking disgusted as he joins a girl who was in my English class, on the other side of the corridor.

I pull away and look into his dark brown eyes. His hands still on my face and body.

"I have a surprise for you after school." He whispered into my ear.

"I thought we said no presents." Although he knew very well that I loved presents, he didn't show any mocking reaction.

"It's not a present. But at 7 pm meet me at our spot by the bench. I will have a surprise waiting for you."

"Can you pleeeease tell me," I beg

But just in time, the bell rings for our first lesson. "You know I don't want to be late for class." And he walks away with a smirk on his face, leaving me in the midst of a crowd of high schoolers rushing to their next lesson.

I couldn't focus the entire day. All I thought of was the surprise. What was Nick going to do? What had he planned? I had nearly made it through the entire school day until my last lesson. English.

"Ms. Cyrus!"

I finally woke up from my daydream and found my teacher towering over me.

"Yes, Miss."

"If you are not going to pay attention in my class then you might pay better attention after school... In detention. Now if you can tell me what we were just talking about, I will let you go with a warning."

I sat there, speechless. I could feel everyone's eyes on me. I raised my head and one person stood out. She pointed towards the board that was in front of the class.

"Ummm... You were showing us how to should write a dystopian speech that would persuade a group of people to enter a dystopian world," I say, paraphrasing and summarising what was on the board as the girl sat back down with a smile.

I looked back at my teacher, whose eyes were roaring with anger. She didn't say a word to me and continued with the class.

5 hours left till Nicks's big surprise, and I continued trying to figure out what he was planning.

The bell finally rang and I began packing my books. I see the girl who helped me walk by and I thankfully say. "Thank you so much. You really saved my butt in there." I say to her. I realize that she is the girl that is always with Joe, Kevin, and Nick. "Wait. Your Demi aren't you."

"I guess it is nice to officially meet, Miley. Nick talks about you a lot."

I began blushing and she continued, "Nick is planning something extremely special and I couldn't let his date get in detention a few hours before his big surprise." She said, with a friendly tone yet a smirk on her face.
