Seok Kyung was overwhelmed and flowing with guilt and hatred. After all, she had ran away from home. Smoldered with resentment, she felt like her life had crushed. Her twin brother, whom she was never apart with, didn't love or care for her anymore. In fact, hated her. Her stepmom, whose attention and care she always yearned, disowned her and didn't bother whether she was dead or alive. Her father on the other hand, physically abused her.

Leaving the top-tier Penthouse at Hera Palace, there she was, on the top floor of an abandoned building. Homeless. And at that moment, with a stranger who had these small cat-like glossy hooded brown eyes that resembled a sea of pain.

Letting the soreness of everything slip, Seok Kyung reached her hands out to this stranger, whom she practically saved.

"Joo Seok Kyung." she replied with a smirk. No one could ever figure out that  she was hiding such a tormenting  life behind the mask that she made for herself. She was too good at locking it all up inside her.

Furrowing his forehead, he stared at her thin pale hands covered in scars and unhealed wounds. It had been long for him as well since he talked to anybody. His body and soul longed for something humanly as well. Both of them were on the same boat. In the middle of sea of wilderness, far away from all, just wanting to feel loved and worthy.

Gulping down his throat, he slowly but surely extended his weak arms to shake hers. The trembling and cold hand slowly got through but then frozed in the mid air. He abruptly pulled his hand back and gradually slid into a slump and then tried to cover it up by returning to a straighter posture. He drew his lower lip between his teeth, a muscle in his jaw twitching.

Seok Kyung went poker-faced and gave a sharp gaze, spotting a vein pop out in his neck and the blank look on his face transforming into a frown. It began looking more like fuming anger with every passing second. Observing this, fear crossed her face and expression of resentment clouded his features.

Screwing up his face, he paled. His eyes were now fixed at his own boots, glancing down. His posture was stiff, looking almost frozen. He tightened both of his fists and clenched them tightly. She bent over to glance at him closely only to notice his shivering body . The cold pale lips of his were shuddering. Those beautiful eyes were filled with what you would call guilt.

"Why did you do it?" Seo Jun stammered with rage.

"What do you mean why I did?", she replied crossing her arms trying to sound sarcastic but the visible angst plastered in her face was clear as the line of her mouth tightened a fraction more.

"Why did you stop me?", he mumbled under his breath still looking down. Seok Kyung could feel the bitterness in his fury and husky voice.

"Just because, you know."

Seo Jun raised his chin up. She was startled to see the boy sweating vigorously and panting whilst his fuming hooded eyes was tearing up.

"Do you think this was easy for me? He yelled with unwavering glare holding her intact in place. Cracking his knuckles loudly, the anger continued to stir within him. His lips pulled back exposing his clenched teeth.

Seok Kyung still stood there paralyzed.

Then he finally exploded. And when he did, he didn't go for bashing and breaking things around, he went straight for her. He grasped both her shoulders with his hands, looking deep into her eyes with outrage. He dug his nails into her crossed arms and roughly pierced them in her skin intentionally trying to hurt her.

The pain shot up her arm like fire. She widened her eyes large and glared back at him.

"Why the fuck did you stop me?" He slammed her against the hard wall making her head bang against it. Whyyy?", he shouted with stiff voice with no vestige of sympathy in its hardness. He endlessly panted heavily and drool and sweat covered his face. His eyes looked venomous and glowed with fire.

She, still in disbelief, gasped . Then, with a piercing stare and lip curled upward with disgust, she jerked off his large hands off her shoulders. She pushed the infuriated boy back, making him trip over. Her eyes bulged from their sockets as she bent down over him directly taking hold of his neck, more or less, choking him. Her venomous jewel eyes then sparkled as she threw a smirk at him glancing with pitiful eyes.

"Why didn't you jump your ass off then, babyboy?", she hissed with cold and proud tone forming her lip into a curve.

"And um, I don't remember holding you back to ward you off from doing that right there and other than that I can't seem to piece in why could you not jump off", she howled spacing the words evenly as he spoke with a raised voice.

And now, Seo Jun was screaming silently, gasping for breath. Small ragged gasps were escaping his throat. Her palms still pressing against his throat ; he could feel his blocked wind pipe. He gulped and gasped for breath trying to get her hands off of him. When his face started to flush red and his cheeks started flaming, she finally loosened her hands around him. "Oops". She snickered and giggled wickedly .

The boy ended up coughing out and taking in heavy gasps. Seok Kyung finally seemed to have a satisfied look plastered in her devilishly beautiful face.

He slowly sat back up still coughing at the top of his voice. He sucked thickly at the air feeling difficult to draw it in. A flicker of irritation was still rushing in his body. Then he narrowed his eyes at the girl who almost choked him to death. She was taking out coins from a small bucket-like thing and then shoved them into her pockets.

She stood up and then rolled her neck. After that, she turned away to leave clacking her shoes on the ground. Seo Jun was yet motionlessly sitting on the cold floor like a big rock unable to process what happened. Tracing his eyes on her, he watched, as she left. All-of-a-sudden,  she stopped and then turned her body around facing him directly.

She smirked yet again. "You should be thankful actually. Thankful , to the sense that you didn't die. Your family and loved ones would be disheartened, won't they? Hm?", she asked with a much cooler tone, raising her eyebrows with a malicious smile. Then, she titled her head back again and walked off.

"No. Not at all. Everybody hurts or leaves anyway.", he lightly replied back.

These words echoed around the rooftop.

She stopped dead right where she stood. Having her biological mother leave her and everyone else either back stab or emotionally damage her, those words felt like needles piercing through her heart. Her heart ached.
