"Esme hurry up we're gonna be late" Thomas yelled, standing at the end of the stairs I should be telling you that I said sitting on the outside stairs reading one of the books from the library "ah come on let's just go" Thomas said, grabbing my hand and dragged me over to the car and we headed down to Granny's to have breakfast with Ms. Blanchard like we usually do "I don't understand why your in such a rush today Tom" I said, as he dragged me out of the car and we both walked into Granny's "SURPRISE HAPPY BIRTHDAY ESME" everyone in Granny's yelled, right today's my birthday how, how could I forget about that I said as every one gave me a hug "hm could be all those books you read everyday" Mary said, smiling at me "no I don't think that's it" I said, smiling back at her "okay birthday girl what would you like to have for your birthday breakfast" Ruby asked, um surprise me I said a bit unsure okay how does birthday waffles sound she said sounds great I said with a soft smile as Mary and Thomas both sat on either side of me then a few minutes later Ruby walked back out with three plates of waffles "thanks Ruby" Mary said, as she sat them down in front of us and we started to eat our breakfast but once I finished mine Ruby suddenly took my plate and everyone started setting gifts in front of me "I think you might want to open mine up first Esme" Ruby said, with a smile as she set a big box with a few small holes in it and as I started to open it I heard whining coming from it "oh Ruby you didn't" both me and Thomas said, looking at her Thomas's face was full of dread while mine was completely taken over by joy when a puppy popped its head out of the box "so what are you gonna name him" Ruby asked, how about Jake I said "yeah I like it Jake suits him" Ruby said, petting him okay Ms. Esme heres my gift Marco said with a smile as he handed me a beautiful hand crafted guitar Marco it's beautiful thank you I said with a soft smile as I looked down at it brushing my finger tips across the strings "oh no you don't like it" Marco said, no, no Marco it's not that I love the gift I said setting it to the side "then what is it Esme are you not feeling well" Mary Margaret asked, no it's nothing like that "really I'm fine" I said, okay she said "but I think I'm gonna take Jake out for a little walk" I said, with a fake smile "uh alright do you want me to come with you" Mary Margaret asked, no that's okay I'll be back in a little bit I said just as Archie burst through the doors ah Esme uh hey sorry I'm late d-did I miss the party he asked nervously scratching the back of his head as his face turned a little pink no you didn't miss the party Archie I was just going to go take this little guy for a walk but I'll be back in a few minutes" I said, okay uh here's your gift hope you like it he said handing me a little box "thanks Archie I'll open it right now" I said, as I opened the box "it's beautiful thanks Archie" I said, with a soft smile as i put it on and then left the cafe with Jake walking beside me.

As i walked around letting Jake sniff around some trees I couldn't help but feel like some thing was missing in my life no more like someone I thought I just wish I knew what it was I said aloud accidentally you wish you knew what, what was Ms. Sparrow someone asked and when I turned around I saw oh Mr. Gold hi um it's nothing important just talking to myself I said hm well deary a little bird told it was your birthday so I've come down to give you a little something he said with a smile as he handed me a few new books "thank you Mr. Gold I have actually been needing new books to read" I said, with a soft smile as I looked at there titles "so how old you are now Ms. Sparrow" he asked, I'm 28 now I said hm well you have a happy birthday Ms. Sparrow he said then he walked away that was slightly weird I said as me and Jake started walking back to Granny's and when I walked inside Granny shoved a plate of my favorite cookies in my face "here dear I made something for you to take home and snack on" Granny said, with a smile "thanks Granny" I said, well me and Esme should get going we got to get the library opened Thomas said as he walked out the door with all the gifts and went to go put them in the car thanks everyone for everything I said giving every one a quick hug before leaving then I got in the car and we drove up to the library "hey Tommy do you ever feel like some thing's missing in our lives" I asked, as I got out of the car and started walking up the stairs with him yeah I do he said as he unlocked the door really I said yeah are parents he said oh well yeah there's that but I was t- but Thomas cut me off I mean we were both abandoned in the middle of an alley and then put in an orphanage where we were almost separated Thomas said slamming some books down on the desk then turned to me and placed his hands on both sides of my face "I can't lose you Renesmee I can't" he said, and you wont I will always be by your side Tommy I said as I pulled him in to a hug I'm sorry I shouldn't have said anything I didn't mean to bring up any bad memories I said "it's okay um we should probably get ready Mary's gonna be bringing her class here for story time" he said, your right I'll pick out the books I said as I walked through the ailes looking for some books to read to the kids when I heard them run into the library slow down everyone no running in the library I heard Mary Margaret yell "there's also no yelling or talking in the library" I said, with a soft smile right sorry she said smiling back at me when I noticed a young boy staring at me then he took off running when I caught him um do you know him I asked uh yeah sorry he's in my class his name is Henry she said Henry I repeated quitely "Esme you alright" Mary asked, waving a hand in my face ah yeah sorry um I found a few books that I think they might like may I read them to them now I asked yeah I'll go gather them up she said as she ran off to go find all her students then after she gathered everyone I sat down in a chair in front of them all "um hi everyone my names Renesmee but everyone I know just calls me Esme and you can call me that to or Nessie which is also fine" I said, it's cool that you have the same nickname as the lock ness monster that boy from before said and a small smile formed on my face "thank you but it's just one of my many nicknames but it's also one of my favorite ones" I said, then why don't you just go by Nessie instead of Esme he asked "not sure I guess I just like the meaning behind it" I said, what does Esme mean he asked hm well it's old French and it means, "to love" I said "oh okay Henry that's enough Ms. Sparrow is a very busy women sorry Esme you can continue with story time now" Mary said, right I said as I opened the book to the first page and started to read it then after a few hours pasted it was time for them to leave "bye Esme it was nice meeting you" Henry said, as he left with every one else um yeah it was nice meeting you too I said as I watched him leave you okay sis you seem a little out of it Tom said I am perfectly fine dear brother I said as I walked over to my favorite section of the library where all the romance novels were at and made sure no one was around as I pulled out the book I hid within in all the other books and pulled a photo from it and stared at the picture it was of a baby my baby, the baby that I gave away "why am thinking of you right now all of a sudden" I said, as tears ran down my face I hope your happy where ever you are I said stuffing the picture in my pocket ESME Thomas yelled running past me came to a stop and then ran up to me Esme he said what, what happened I asked what do you want to have for your birthday dinner he asked smiling at me "oh my god Thomas you had me worried don't ever do that again" I said, punching him in the arm making him laugh sorry, sorry didn't mean to worry you he said "well you did" I said, crossing my arms "come on I'll take you anywhere you wanna go" he said, okay fine your forgiven I said as me and Thomas left the library and drove to the nicest restaurant in town to have dinner "thanks Tommy for giving me the best birthday ever" I said, as I hugged him "are you ready to go home" he asked, yeah I'm definitely ready for bed after today I said as I followed him back to the car and we droven back to the house walked inside changed into my pajamas and went straight to bed when I heard someone knocking on the door and I sighed as crawled out of bed and started walking down the stairs where I saw Jake barking at the door Jake come here I said picking him up and then opened the door to see Henry standing there with a woman "um sorry to bother you ma'am ya see this kid forced me to come here and I'm really hoping your his mother so I can get back home" she said, no I'm not his mother but I do know h- but Henry cut me off yes you are he said running into my house "10 years ago did you give up a baby for adoption" he said, looking at me y-y-yeah I said well that was me Henry said but what about you why did he bring you with him I asked she's you and Thomas's older sister her names Emma he said Esme what's going on whose at the door Thomas asked running down the stairs Esme your crying what happened what did you do baby sister Thomas said stomping up to Emma "THOMAS STOP she didn't do anything to me its just that I haven't been completely honest with you" I said, what do you mean he asked "Thomas your an Uncle" I said, what he said "this is Henry your nephew" I said, Renesmee mind telling me when this happened he asked as he pointed at Henry when I went to New York for a little while I said "ah I see and you didn't tell me because" he asked, she didn't tell you because she wanted to give me the best life and because she thought you would be disappointed in her if you found out she got pregnant she said "Esme I could never be disappointed in you" he said, as he kissed my forehead so kid who adopted you anyway Thomas asked "the Mayor" Henry said, im sorry what Thomas said the Mayor is my mom he repeated oh no, no, no there's no telling what that women would do to Esme I don't want any thing to happen to her she's all I have left Thomas said "don't worry together we can make sure nothing happens Esme" Henry said, yeah your right let's work together to keep her safe Thomas whispered to Henry your brother really cares about you huh Emma said standing next to me yeah sometimes a little to much but it's what makes us family and you might be apart of it I mean I always felt like someone was missing in my life and it might be you or I could just be getting my hopes up I said yeah sorry to say this but your wrong cause I don't remember ever having any other siblings not to mention my parents abandoning me me when I was a baby so if I had any other siblings I would probably know about it she said "no you wouldn't since you were separated when you went through the portal" Henry said, I'm sorry what I asked you, Thomas and Emma were put into a tree that teleported you here but it separated you from each other Henry said but me and Thomas weren't separated so if that is true and that's a big if why were me and Thomas the only ones not separated when we were in there why would Emma be the only one separated from me and Thomas I asked "because of the bond you shared with him because of it you were able to use your magic to make sure you two stayed together and it worked because you two were holding hands when you both were put in there" Henry said, I'm sorry Henry but this all sounds kind of far fetched I said "you don't believe me" he said, now I didn't say that but um we really should get you back to your mother I said I'll take him Thomas said no I should take him I'm the one who brought him back to town I should take him back to his house Emma said no I'm his birth mother I will be the one to take him back to his mother's come on Henry I said taking Henry's hand and we walked out the door and got into my car "please don't take me back there" Henry said, Henry she's your mother I said "no you are" he said, I know okay, I know do you think I wanted to give you up when I had you I spent who knows how long holding you refusing to let anyone else hold you I cried when the nurse took you away from me even though they were just trying to make sure you were healthy you were the best thing that ever happened to me but I just wasn't ready to be a mother yet I just wanted to give you the best life I said "I know and i really wanted to meet my birth mother and um just really happy that I got too" he said, and I'm happy I was able to finally see you again but now you have to go back to your mother's cause I'm sure she's worried about you like every other mother I said as we pulled up to the mayor's house and then got out of the car and knocked on the door when the mayor herself opened the door ah there you are Henry where have you been she said but he just ran past her I found my real mom he sad as he ran up the stairs Ms. Sparrow so your Henry's real mother huh she said "y-yes ma'am I am" I said, well now that Henry is back home you can leave now and you wont ever have to see him again since he is my son now after all since you abandoned him she said with a smile w-w-what but I- I started but she cut me off "goodbye Ms. Sparrow" she said, as she slammed the door in my face no, no, n-no I cant lose him again I said as I started to have a panic attack tears running down my face deep breathes, deep breathes i said as I started to calm down then I started to walk back to my car when I noticed Henry looking at me from his window "I will see my son again even if I have to get through her to do it" I said, to myself as I got in my car and drove back home hey I'm back I said walking into the house thank goodness she didn't do any thing to you did she Thomas asked "I'm fine I just need a drink" I said, your lying Emma said leaning against the wall but maybe we can talk about it over a drink she said yeah I think that would help alot actually Thomas do you mind I said right I'll get the wine he said as he walked into the kitchen and came back with a bottle of wine and three glasses and poured me, Emma and himself and then I started to tell them what happened "Regina can't do this to you Esme Henry is YOUR SON NOT HERS" Thomas yelled, slamming his fists down on the table "THOMAS STOP GETTING ANGRY WON'T SOLVE ANY THING" I said, rubbing his back to help calm him down fine he sighed "don't worry Esme I'll help make sure your able to see Henry and I may not know if you and Thomas are my brother and sister for sure but I do know that I can't stand by and watch someone so caring amd loving to suffer" Emma said, thank you Emma but this is my problem and I really should take care of it myself I said nope were doing this together and were gonna start tomorrow but for now I'm gonna find a place to stay she said oh you can stay with us if you want I said "no that's fine I think I may have over stayed my welcome I'll let you guys get back to bed see you tomorrow" she said, as she walked out the door then me and Thomas went back to our rooms and went straight to bed since tomorrow is sure to be a long day.
