Naruto~Kakashi fanfic

"Kakashi Sensei ~ I'm back from my mission. " Ruka cried out. Ruka really wanted to treat Kakashi to a meal with the money she received from her mission. Her last mission. To Ruka, Kakashi was her benefactor, a person whom she will forever be indebt to. She have always looked up to Kakashi no matter how much better she is. She admired his battling skills- both brain and brawn. And still called him Sensei even though her rank was higher than him.

~~Flashback STARTS~~

Ruka was saved by Kakashi when she was younger, her clan was killed in a war and she wasn't too sure what happened, but having her clan murdered in front of her was too much and she passed out. But when she regained conscious, she remembered Kakashi carrying her and speeding through the forest. She felt safe in his arms and fell back into a deep slumber.

When she woke up, she saw Kakashi by her bed and couldn't help but smile at him.

"Oh, you're awake. I'll go get the doctor." She started to panic and instinctively reached out to grab his wrist.

"Don't leave me. I'm scared." Ruka whispered as she looked at him with tear-filled eyes. He sighed and sat down on the hospital bed. After a while, a man with spiky yellow hair walked in, smiling.

"So I see, she has awakened. How's she?" The man asked.

"Oh I guess she's okay. It doesn't look like she is injured, Minato sensei. "Kakashi answered with a sigh. "Now the problem is where is she going to live? She doesn't have anywhere else to go. Her clan's been entirely wiped out."

Minato thought for a while before saying," I'll go and report to the Hokage first. You stay here and wait for me to return. Jyaa ne!"

Kakashi sighed and sat back down on a chair beside the hospital bed. After an awkward silence, Ruka started to speak.

"Well, um, thank you for saving me... what's your name?"

"Kakashi."

"Oh, um, Kakashi-San, my name is R-Ruka Kazu, but y-you can call me Ruka." Ruka stumbled.

"Ruka...San, do you have any relatives whom you might be able to live with while you're here?" Kakashi inquired.

Ruka's eyes started to fill with tears. "M-my entire family was k-killed in that h-horrible war. I do not have anyone else I can rely on now..."

The room was silent once again, only to be broken with the occasional sobs coming from Ruka.

Not long after, Minato appeared in the room.

"Well, she'd have to live on her own if none of us are taking her in. The rest of the group have their own difficulties so it only leaves you Kakashi."

Kakashi looked into the dark brown eyes of the girl huddled on the bed. Her dark brown eyes looked back at him with a glimmer of hope. His heart softened at the sight of her eyes tearing up.

"I guess I could take her in-" before Kakashi could finish, Ruka leapt from her bed and gave Kakashi a huge hug.

"Thank you!" Ruka exclaimed.

And that's how she got to live with

Kakashi.
