Chapter 20

Clarke

I found Bellamy asleep beside Zara who has been sleeping on a hammock on the dropship all week.

"Princess what time is it" Bellamy said rubbing his eyes out of tiredness.

"9 go back to sleep" i said Cleaning the blood from the metal table.

"Your still working" he said lazily.

"Yeah "

"Princess get some sleep" he said taking me from the table and dragging me by the waist over to the dropship table.

"Mommy" Zara said from the Hammock

She's dreaming I think she is probably thinking about their mother .

Me and Bellamy stepped forward and seen she was awake sharing a look of confusion.

"You okay" Bellamy asked her

"Yes daddy" she replied before covering her mouth with her small hand.

She began to cry suddenly scaring me a little.

I hugged her and picked her up her head digging into the crook of my shoulder.

"Its okay angel" Bellamy said kissing her forehead.

"I thought for a moment you were my parents" she said to us.

"We'll only be your parents if you want us to be" Bellamy said to her his voice soothing.

"Can you be my parents " she said to us with a smile of hope.

I couldn't help but smile back she had a great personality and was a great kid.

"Yeah " Bellamy said and we walked out the dropship.

I woke up when I felt Clarke was not in my arms and panicked but smiled when I seen that Zara was sleeping on top of Clarke clutching Griffin's sleeve as if her life depended on it.

I got up after a minute of debating whether to leave my kind of kid and my practically wife .

I pulled on my boots which despite my best to keep them lasting long for the upcoming winter were torn and scruffy.

"don't worry the ark have supplies" Clarke said from behind me.

"If they come down" I said almost whispering at the thought of what I had done.

"Bellamy what did you do" she said trying to move but I held her down so Zara could sleep .

"I killed jaha"

Clarke's eyes widened and I knew that she was shocked and above all was scared.

"I can understand if you want to breakup" I said to her.

"Bellamy I would never want to break up with you" her voice was tender and soft.

"I'll go get breakfast you stay here" I said smiling at her.

I got out of the tent and seen Anya was waiting outside.

"I just want to thank you for taking Zara in" Anya said as we walked to the centre of the camp

"Its nothing" I said grabbing a handful of berries and holding them in the bottom of my shirt.

"Does she think of you and Clarke as her parents"

"Yeah she called me dad and Clarke mom yesterday"

Anya smiled at the comment her grin never leaving her face.

Anya left to go break up a fight and I went back to the tent to see Clarke and Zara.

Clarke was now standing and smiling at something.

"Princess " I said from behind her and she held out her hand and I put some berries into her hand.

We watched as Zara continued to sleep in the tent until Octavia came and asked if she could look after Zara

We agreed mainly because we both had lots of work to do and Alice got in a fight and was in a bad condition so Clarke had to look after her and I had an army .
