3 years

3 years it had been since the incident.

And in all of that time, Aang had never forgot what had happened that day. It was like it was implanted into his brain. However-long he spent meditating and relaxing it always came racing past like a bullet. Quick and deadly.
A dangerous combination if he said so himself.

He quietly scoffed at the thought and continued gazing out on the horizon. It had been a tough few years.
Of course, Momo was there to keep him company and so was Appa so it was kind-of like before he ran away. But... without the gaang he just felt, dysfunctional. Like he didn't belong anywhere.

He squinted his eyes, trying the block the blinding rays of the sun blasting him like it wanted him to burn to death. His camp wasn't too far from here so he could easily walk back, but honestly, he would much rather stay here. At least it was very calming. After the incident, Aang had become broken... sort of a shell of himself and who he used to be. He's a lot more violent, seeing as he is 16, and is much more of a powerhouse than a pacifist. Also, he's kind-of a dick. He had changed a lot. But, that can happen to anyone, all it takes is one bad day.

At least he still was a vegetarian. Aang stood up and packed his swords, sticking them to the side on his belt.
(This is what he looks like btw.

"Gee, took ya long enough. I was about to come and get you,"
Called a rather bored voice from Aang's tent.

"Glad to see you care so much about me. I'm flattered Gloomy,"
Aang sarcastically retarded, smirking slightly at his moody friend. It had taken a few minutes to get to the camp, but it wasn't a big deal; however, the mud did cause a bit of a problem.

"I don't care about you. It's just if you die, I won't have any food since you're the one always brings it."
The voice said, louder this time as Aang was much closer to his tent.

"Wow thanks! Nice to know you're only in it for the food, and what have I told you about coming into my tent like for spirits sake it's just a simple reque-"
Aang said, mumbling the last few words as he poked out from the other of the tent. Immediately, he was greeted by a lot of warmth, and a greatly unamused Mai sulking in the background and playing with her ninja-star thingies for no apparent reason.

He had asked her to cook some food before he had gone, but the place seemed exactly the way it seemed before he left, which made him glare at her for being so unproductive. It was funny actually, she kinda reminded him of Toph. She was always finding excuses for not helping, except if it was something about kicking but. The airbender smiled at the memory of his past friend, before placing all of the herbs and spices he collected into a tin, and beginning to make some soup for the both of them while Mai watched, bored.
