"You're so handsome, yes you are," I whispered slowly, rocking a sleeping Zachariah.

Fortunately, Harmony and Zachariah were cleared to go home right before Christmas and since Zachariah is a newborn and he doesn't need to be outside like that, we were having Christmas at Harmony and Brent's place.

Like usually, it is only going to our close friends and family here celebrating Christmas and a new addition to our dysfunctional family.

I placed him into his bassinet and turned the baby monitor on.

Harmony was in the room catching up on sleep and Brent's running some errands.

I walked downstairs and into the kitchen to see the now seven months pregnant Chanel.

Her belly has grown to its full potential and pregnancy looks beautiful on her.

"Whatchu doing?"

"My mom sent me the recipe for her special cookies so I'm going to try to make them. You want to help?"

"You sure you want my help," I asked, sitting down at the island.

"Yes, because you can't go, you cannot go your whole life without not knowing how to cook something. Plus, I need to make hell of cookies."

"Ain't Anahi on her way here she can most definitely help you better than I can."

"She's not coming till later because she promised this shelter to help pass out food to the homeless. So she's not going to be here later and that shouldn't matter because you are here."

She passed me the spatula so I could mix the dough.

"I'll tell you what to put in there and how much. See it's not going to be too hard."

"Baby, where you at?"

" I'm in here with Alani!"

Zahir walked into the kitchen with a handful of grocery bags. Hassan walked in behind with the same amount of bags.

"What is all of this," I asked looking into the bags once they sat them down.

"Anahi sent us a grocery list for the Christmas dinner."

Alani wanted to do something different for our Christmas dinner. So we're having seafood and steak for our dinner instead of the usual ham, dressing, baked macaroni and cheese, etc...

She's going to be the main cook since Harmony is still in recovery, our mom went to Texas to visit some family, Chanel is well into her pregnancy, Alex is catering some Christmas event, and Chanel's parents are in Paris on a vacation/business trip.

Plus, I don't know how to cook but I did offer to taste test everything and entertain her.

"Have you talked to Alijah," Zahir asked, putting up the groceries.

"No, but I did talk to Malia and she said they'll be here today."
