"Just let me spoil you and then when my birthday gets here you can spoil me. Plus, you're going to love the surprise I have for you."
I followed behind him with my heels in my hands. He has us on a beach going to god knows where.
This morning he had me get dolled up for a date night. He didn't tell me what we were going to do, he just told me to wear something cute yet comfortable.
"Okay, close your eyes,"
"Jakari, I swear if I fall."
"You won't I promise."
I tightened my grip on his hand and closed my eyes. The sound of water hitting the shore repeatedly and our feet touching the ground filled my ears.
"Okay we're here," he finally said, after about 15 minutes of walking.
I opened my eyes to see this beautiful house.

"You always talked about having a house close to the beach or on it. So I had your dream house built next to the beach that you love. Now the beach is our backyard and you can visit as many times as you want."
Tears rolled down my face as he talked more about raising our future family in this house.
He seems to always find a way to make me cry.
Since I was a little girl I always wanted a beach house to live in and not just vacation in. I've always liked the idea of having the beach as my backyard. Looking out the window and seeing the place I enjoy the most.
Beaches hold a special place in my heart especially, this beach. My parents always took Alani and I here during our childhood. I came here a lot doing my teenage years to think and smoke.
This very beach is therapeutic for me and I get to live next to it with the love of my life.
"Thank you so much! I love it and I love you."
I ran into his arms and placed my lips onto his.
"I love you too and I'm happy that you love it. But I have one more thing to show you."
He led me to the side of the house.

I opened my eyes to see the entire room covered in balloons and my beautiful fiance stood over me in a black lingerie set holding a tray covered in breakfast foods.
What a beautiful sight to wake up too.
