"Anahi, our birthday is in a couple of days and you still haven't talked to Jakari," Alani said seasoning the steak meat.
Alani, Chanel, and I are making tacos for our movie night. We throw a movie night every other month just to be around each other and watch dumb things. Today we're having the movie night at Zahir's house.
"Yea, you got that man calling and texting me about your ass. If I get another how's Anahi doing text I'm going to kill him and you."
"I've just been really busy with YouTube and the salon. I'll talk to him when I'm free," I lied.
"If you say so."
Alani connected her phone to my speaker while I poured the meat into the strainer to drain the excess liquids.

"Why did y'all pick this movie," Chanel complained from under the cover.
We decided to let the boys pick the movie since we picked it the last time. But they decided on The Shining. I love horror movies but it's something sinister about this movie. (Real Opinion)
"Can we please talk," Jakari begged quietly.
We were sitting in our usual seats and my usual seat is by Jakari. I didn't want to change how we do out movie nights so I sucked it up and sat next to him. But, it was a mistake he got close to me and asked if we could talk.
Like, let me be mad for a couple more days or something.
"Alright," I snapped, standing up and walking out of the room and up the stairs.
Zahir had a movie theater in his basement.
I walked to the room Jakari has here. Now that I think about it Jakari is never at his own house, he's usually at ours.
"What do you want to talk about?"
"What do I want to talk about? I want to talk about how you've been ignoring me and you went off before you even got the full story," Jakari snapped.
"What is there to talk about? You're messing with another girl, I don't give a fuck."
"If you would of listen to what the fuck I had to say before going off you would've known that I slept with her when we stopped having sex with each other," he barked.
"What?"
"When you stopped fucking me to start a relationship with Jalen. I started messing with Shonda,"
A year ago, I started talking to this boy. Jakari and I had just started messing around sexually and we made it known that's all we wanted to do outside of being friends.
Jalen and I met at this house party and we started kicking it with each other. I liked him a lot so I stopped messing with Jakari to start a relationship with Jalen. Jalen was everything I wanted in a boyfriend, well, at first he was.
Two months into our relationship he started accusing me of cheating on him with tons of people. It got to the point where he didn't want me to go outside and just stay in the house. He started beating me and I slowly started distancing myself from all of my relationships.
He literally broke me. One day, I had come home late and he excused me for cheating with Jakari. He beat me so badly that I fell unconscious. Alani found me in a puddle of my blood the next day and took me to the hospital.
Everybody found out what he was doing for the past 3 months and they lost it. A week, after I was admitted to the hospital Jalen was found in the woods. Alligator ate most of him but it was enough left to identify him.
I know Jakari had something to do with it but I never asked him. I wanted to leave Jalen in the past and move past everything.
I was dealing with all of my problems and I never thought about Jakari. I didn't even know he was messing with someone too.
"I'm sorry, I didn't think about the fact that you could've been in a relationship during that time."
"I promised you, if i'm messing with you in any kind of way, I'm messing with you and you only. I haven't talked to Shonda since we started messing around again. I love you, Anahi and I won't ever mess anything we have going on up," he clarified.
"I love you too, and I'm sorry for jumping to conclusions."
He pulled me into a hug and kissed me.
"It's okay, now take this off I miss you," he said, shoving his hands in my pants.
"Okay," I breathed out as his fingers inserted into me.
