his innocent temptress
please stop tempting me with the fact that everything happened for a reason because i constantly ruminate over the emotions left by the soft warmth of your skin and the perfect taste of your lips — as if you're the reason for me to happen. i tried not to mistake the flutters of your butterfly kisses against my cheeks for love and attempted so desperately to conceal all the silent confessions i held on the edge of my lips when our tongues danced to the beautiful melody of your voice.
whenever you leave in the middle of the night, i could only hold onto myself and ask why everything that lingered haunted me of you.

Every second the slate grey throw caressed over each curve on her body to reveal the pale of her skin, I felt a strong pulse of desire pumping through my veins and my mind was fighting against my control over myself. This woman is testing my restraint. I vexed internally as my hands reached out to stop her in order to stop myself. I warned, "Keep it on."
The woman ahead of me remained silent, but I glanced over to meet her soft blue eyes. Emotions swirled to reveal all her thoughts to me — doubt, anxiousness, fear, sadness. The mixture of negative emotions broke through my guardedness as I sighed and settled on the bed with her, pulling her into my embrace. My arms wrapped around her smaller frame as I rested my head against the curve where her neck and shoulder meets. I said softly, "Don't tempt me, Wren. I cannot resist you."
"What does that mean?" Wren mumbled.
"I can't promise that I would stay a gentleman if you continue to seduce me," I replied. "I haven't been the best at holding myself back, have I?"
A gasp left her, "Those nights—"
"I knew it was you," I confessed. "I wouldn't have done anything if it wasn't you."
