Chapter 5: The Princess Debut

This chapter is a little longer than the previous ones.

--Adani's POV--

"Now just aim, focus on wrapping your aura around the arrow to form a barrier, and just before releasing, activate your skill," said uncle Benimaru.

I took a deep breath, took aim, releasing my rose-golden aura. I released the arrow activating 'Heat Sage: Speed'.

"Bull's eye! Uncle Beni, I finally hit the bull's eye!" My feet were doing the movement, which, Mommy likes to call 'Tippy-taps'.

"You did well, Lady Adani. Yesterday you managed to hit the target at a five meter distance, but today you hit dead center. Well done, indeed," he said while ruffling my hair.

"Your hard work is bearing precious fruit, my lady." Brera was standing behind me holding my backpack. She was wearing a baggy blouse, tucked into her high-waisted black dress-pants.

"Well, for today, this is all the training we'll have, I have my own assignments to complete. Make sure to practice." Uncle Benimaru knelt down on one knee, I hugged him and kissed his cheek. The first time I did this, he was taken aback, now he's used to it. He smiled, "Until next time, Lady Adani."

"Bye, Uncle Beni!" I waved. I handed my bow and arrows to Brera. She dismantled the bow and folded the arrows, placing them inside my bag.

"This bag is truly an amazing article! As expected of Lord Rimuru!" said Brera.

Three days ago, Mommy gave me a plain white backpack, "This bag has a skill inside, it's called 'Predator'. It took me (Ciel) a while to fully complete it, but it came out great! Anyone can put something inside the bag, but only you (and I) can take something out. And you see this little square back here? If you put a drop of any colored dye, the bag will change its color to match, just rub a little water on the square and it reverts to white." I was very happy to take it, and have been wearing it everyday.

"Would you like to wear the bag today, my lady? Or shall I carry it for you?" Brera was holding the straps facing me, with a smile on her face.

"I wanna wear it. Thank you anyway , Brera." I stuck my arms through the straps, "Now, let's go get Gobelén and head down to pick up Daddy." I grabbed Brera's hand and off we went.

It's been four days since Brera started to attend to me, but on the second day we lost each other in the plaza. I still struggle with recognizing people with 'Magic Sense', so when Brera finally found me, she refused to let go of my hand. Even Mommy made it a rule; I'm not allowed to go anywhere alone, and I have to hold the hand of whoever I am with.

Gobelén, my personal guard, came into view. "Good afternoon, my lady," Gobelén , is an ogre, but to my surprise, he used to be a goblin. The entirety of the Kurenai are goblins that evolved into ogres, in order to directly serve Uncle Beni.

"Hi, Gobelén. Did you rest well?" This guy tends to overwork, so while I train, I send him outside the training grounds to wait (rest) under a tree.

"I did, my lady, thank you for your concern." Gobelén was wearing his glasses, with two small white horns protruding from pale-green tinted forehead. His hair was a light mint-green color, his uniform was red and black, with traditional trousers.

"Then, let us go. Make sure to stay directly behind Lady Adani, Gobelén. Although it is not necessary for you to be here, I am perfectly capable of guarding and caring for my lady." said Brera.

Ah, they're starting again.

"Oh? But didn't Brera-san lose sight of Lady Adani two days ago?"
