Childhood best friend Amelia and Phil have known each other forever. Of course there meant to be but life isn't always easy when small surprises could change their life's....
That night I was in my bed lying down with Phil. "So why'd u ask me" I asked him with smiling. "Well 1. Your my best friend" he replied. I laughed. "1?" I questioned. "2. I wanted to do this". He said before pulling me into a kiss. I was so shocked but leaned into the kiss. We both pulled away after a while and stared at each other. "What was that for" I asked. "Just been thinking"he said. We were talking about what we were doing tomorrow before being interrupted by my phone. I look and see Adams name on the screen. "Ugh what does he want" Phil moaned. "I don't know" I replied before answering. "Hey Adam" I said confused. "Hey darling. Are u busy tomorrow?" He questioned. "Yeah but I can make time" I replied. "Can u meet me at the school at 12" he asked. "Of course I got to go bye" "bye" he said.
"Whys he got to ruin everything" Phil said sounding annoyed. "He's not ruining anything Phil he's gonna meet me for 10minutes then leave. We have plenty of time" I said while brushing my hair. "Ugh fine" he said while getting comfy in my bed. I joined him. "Goodnight" I said. "Yeah" he replied and I sighed before drifting off to sleep.
The next day I got up and got ready. I wore this.

"Oooooooo" Phil said coming out of the bathroom. "Shut up" I said hitting him. I was so excited for prom tomorrow. Today me and Phil were going to see Adam, getting food then going to the store. We're gonna bake and watch Netflix after. "Ok are u ready to go" I questioned Phil. He replied yes while walking out to his car. I got in and sat on my phone while making small chat to Phil about our friends. At school I'm not popular as such but I'm well known. Phil on the other hand is popular but is very down to earth. One of his friends max has had a crush on me since the first day we met as kids. They are all on the soccer team and not because Phils my best friend but he's definitely the best. On Monday night there's a big game that Phils playing in against our rivals again. There's gonna be very important people there to look out for players that could make it far. After thinking for a while I looked out the window and realised we're at the school and I can see Adam waiting with a smile on his face. "Hey" I said while approaching him. "Hey Amelia, I know this isn't very special but.." he stopped and looked behind me. I looked where he was and saw Phil. "Hey just wanted to see what's happening. Carry on" he said. "Ok so Amelia. Will u go to prom with me?" He questioned. My smile faded. "I'm sorry. Phil already asked me. I'll see u there though I'm so sorry" I replied. "Oh um that's ok I guess, see u" he said quickly before rushing off.
Phil and I head back towards the car and he rusts out laughing. "Can u control yourself what up with u" I ask. "He thought- he had a chance" Phil said in between laughs. "Shut up it was sweet of him to think. Ur lucky I didn't say yes and pie u off" I said seriously making him stop laughing. "Now drive" I said.
