-"Please be honest with me, is this dress really all right?"

-"Mar, don't be silly. I've told you like a million times, you look good in pretty much everything. Why are you so nervous?", Donghyuck reassured his girlfriend, and then proceeded to caressing her hair. "We have discussed this a million times, we are the same person, literally. And my mom loves me so much, which, I believe, automatically means she will love you as well.", his voice now lowered, his hazel-y, dark eyes unable to escape her green ones. "Plus, I've already told her so much about yo-"

The ending of his phrase was cut off from Mariji's lips softly locking with his. Her hand trailing the back of his ear, she rested her forehead on his. "Thank you hyuckie"

Donghyuck, cupping her cheecks, brought their lips together again, unable to contain a small grin through the whole process. "It's time to go."

-"Yeah. Let's. Otherwise I can't promise to contain myself, if we stay here, that is.", Mariji said, with a sly smirk, earning a giggle from the boy in front of her.

 -"God, you are nonstop."

The drive to Donghyuck's family house, took them about two hours, throughout which they sang, laughed, and enjoyed the beautiful Hawaiian weather. As soon as they made it to their destination, a small, yet quite adorable wooden sea-side house, Mariji exited Donghyuck's car hyperactively. She spelled to herself a 'be bold Mar' and after taking a couple of steps she added a 'but also, like, really polite, please', almost pleading to herself.

What calmed her down, was her boyfriend's arms on her shoulders. "Just be your normal, over-the-top, adorable self, Mar. And remember, I'm right next to you.", he whispered in her ear, and left a kiss on her hair, right before ringing the doorbell.

-"Darling, they're here!!", they both heard a woman's voice go, behind the door. And then, the door opened. A tall slender woman, in what appeared to be her late 40's greeted them both. She looked so young, so modern, to the point Mariji would have believed it if Donghyuck had told her this was his older sister. Her hair was messily pinned up with a wooden pencil, and her checkered dress frilled as the sea breeze sweeped across it.

-"Welcome!! I hope the drive was bearable.", she said with a smile, that held so much of Haechan's charm in it, Mariji decided, and went on to embrace both of them.

-"Yes mom, it was just fine. So, here is the girl I can't shut up about, these last 10 months. Mar, my mother, mom, this is Mariji"

-"Lovely to meet you m'am", Mariji shyly said and shook the woman's hand.

Donghyuck's mother looked at her with affection and simply said: "Likewise, dear."

-------------------------------

-"HYUCKIE.", Mariji shot her eyes open, to face the wooden boards on the ceiling above her, sweat running on the sides of her face, accompanied by the tears that had spilled from her eyes.

She sat on the double bed, and realized she was in her room, in her friends' house, in Korea. Literally the furthest away she could be from Dongyuck and everything that reminded her of him. 'Why on earth would I dream of Sun-hee all of a sudden?', she spelled to herself, trying to calm down, referring to her ex-boyfriend's mother. Bringing her hand to her forehead, she swiped away the clear watery beads that had formed.
