An Unlikely Love

Chapter 14 - Marie's Pov:

Marie followed Tony down the hall, and stopped to wait for the elevator Marie glanced at him and saw he was clenching his jaw and looked like he had tears in his eyes.
"TOny, what's the matter?"
Tony didn't answer.
"Fine" she said quietly, they went back to her room in complete silence, all the while Marie was having a mini panic attack. Why was Stark so mad, it wasn't like he was her dad. Still the thought of him not talking to her gave Marie a sick feeling in her stomach, Tony led her into her room and watched as Marie went to pet Binx. as Tony was leaving Marie called out to him
"Hey Tony? I'm really sorry for running off like that. I just-i couldn't take all of the pressure, my head felt like it was going to explode if i stayed there any longer, you dig?" she looked at tony with hopeful eyes
"Yeah sure kid." Tony said after a beat, closing the door behind him as he left. With a deep sigh Marie got under her covers, pulled Binx into her arms and thought about how weird this whole situation was, she had just met these people yet she was staying with them and acting like she had known them her whole life. Marie would have to be more careful about this whole ordeal. These were her last thoughts as she fell into a restless sleep.
