The next day Loki woke up on the couch in the living room of Stark tower feeling a bit hungry. Nobody was up and cooking so Loki went through the cabinets, finding a blue box with the words POP TARTS and under that he saw handwriting that he knew belonged to Thor, it said "Thor's POP TARTS, do not eat unless you want to face the wrath of the God of Thunder'' Loki rolled his eyes and ate one anyway thor wouldn't actually kill him, the worst that could come of it was a black eye if Thor was lucky enough to catch him. Just then Tony walked in and saw Loki eating a pop tart, he looked at the pop tart and raised an eyebrow at Loki
"You know those are Thor's right? He will literally fight anyone who eats them, last week I had to require that everyone have an extra box of pop tarts at their desks just in case he was in a mood" Tony said laughing "oh well, your face i guess"
"Hey Tony," Loki said, changing the subject, "Who is the girl?"
"Which one, there are several so you'll have to be more specific"
"You know which one I am talking about. The one who always has her cat by her side, she paid me a visit last night?" Loki said getting irritated
"Oh you mean her?! Why do you want to know?" Tony asked suspiciously
"Are you going to tell me or not" Loki said standing up
"My name is Marie Rose but everyone calls me Marie, this is Binx" said a voice by the door. Loki turned and smiled at Marie, a faint blush spread across her cheek bones and Loki didn't think he had seen anything cuter than the sight of her soft blush as she smiled back at him. Hold on a minute, cute? Did Loki, god of Mischief and Lies just think a girl, cute?  He told himself to pull it together, she wouldn't want him after what he did to her, what self respecting human being would? While this eternal debate waged war in his head he finally realized that Marie had asked him a question
"I'm sorry, can you repeat that?" Loki asked her mentally shaking his head at his foolishness
"I said, what should I call you? Loki, Loki Odinson? I'm not really sure how I am supposed to address a god let alone-"
"Just Loki is fine" Loki said giving her a small smile
"Okay then Loki" she said emphasizing his name "would you like to go train with me after breakfast?"
Wait what? Was she serious? Had she even trained before? After all that he had done to her, she wanted him to train with her?
"Are you sure?" Loki asked, his eyebrows coming together in the middle "i don't think that would be the best-"
"Unless you're too scared, that is, I could always ask Thor or Bruce to..."
The thought of Marie training with anyone else caused jealousy to hit him like a train, he didn't really know why but next thing he knew he was agreeing.
"Never to scared for myself, but I wouldn't want to overwhelm you with my powers" he said giving a small bow, he looked up at Marie who had one eyebrow raised and was giving him an amusing disbelieving look
"Oh yeah? Now you don't want to overwhelm me? My, My how people change" she said while laughing Loki realizing she was referencing to what happened yesterday he Stood up straight and looked her right in the eye
"Well maybe it's not the person, just the person's attitude" he said as he headed towards the door he turned his head and called over his shoulder "i'll see you in the training room in 30 minutes"
"Well!" Loki heard Tony say as he left the room "you two seem to be in good spirits with each other today. What happened?"
"Oh well..." Marie seemed at a loss for words and Loki stopped outside the door to see what she would say
"Everyone deserves a second chance I guess" she said offhandedly
Something in Loki's chest felt fuzzy, he absent mindedly rubbed his chest as he walked to the elevator and to the floor where the training room was located.
