A/N - HEY GUYS, SORRY FOR NOT UPDATING. IT'S BEEN A ROUGH COUPLE OF DAYS. I'VE MOURNING ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS WHO PAST AWAY OVER THE WEEKEND. I'VE BEEN SUPPORTING A LOT OF PEOPLE INCLUDING MYSELF BUT I HOPE YOU ENJOY THIS UPDATE... ALSO WE'RE JUMPING FORWARD TO CHRISTMAS TIME IN THIS PART, DON'T ASK. JUST IN THE MOOD FOR SOMETHING CHEERFUL...

~◇MITCH'S POV◇~

After that mess with court, we won our little boy and said goodbye to our past. Carter got into a little trouble for leaving the hospital early but I thanked him countless times for what he did. Emma is also looking at a little time behind bars for lying under oath. As for Kirk, Lela and Travis, they are now serving their thirty year sentence. I know, we were looking for longer but by that time Alex will hopefully have his own family.

Christmas was fast approaching and we couldn't believe it. Our first Christmas with Ally and me and Scott were going all out for this one. Christmas was still weeks away but me and Scott wanted to surprise Alex with an early Christmas present. I woke up, rolled over to see Alex wasn't in bed and I sprung out of bed. I could hear Scott in the living room, singing Beyonce as usual but I didn't hear Alex. I peered into the living room but something blocked my view. I looked up into Scott's beautiful blue eyes, he smiled down at me and opened the door. I fell into his chest, "hey there Mitchie, what you up to?" he asked smirking at me. I wrapped my arms around his waist and looked up into his eyes. "Oh nothing Scottland, just wondering where our son is." I said getting louder as I finished the sentence. Scott chuckled, "he's on the couch. He had a nightmare last night and we lay on the couch for a bit 'til he fell asleep." he explained leading me over to the back of out couch.

There lay our angel, his blonde hair peeking out from under the blanket. I sighed and kissed Scott's cheek. "I'm gonna get ready and then we can go get this surprise." I said and he nodded. I ran back into my room, grabbed an outfit I thought looked good and got ready for an extremely long drive. I entered the living room again and Scott shoved a Starbucks cup in my face. "Thanks Scottie." I said taking a sip. There was a sudden movement from the couch and Alex's head popped up. His bed head was so cute, he looked a lot like Scott in the mornings but had my attitude. "Morning Ally." I said and he smiled. "Morning Papa, morning Daddy. Is today the day?" asked Alex rubbing his eyes and streching. We nodded in sync and Alex stood up off the couch. He ran into my room and emerged five minutes later, looking refreshed and awake. "I'm ready." he announced causing me and Scott to laugh. We packed into the car, Scott plugged in his  Ipod and began blaring music. We pulled out and made our way to get our newest edition to the family.

~■SCOTT'S POV■~

We were about an hour into our trip and already caught in traffic. Of course to pass the time, we sang because why not. Then I got a FaceTime from Carter, I turned the music down and told Mitch and Alex to quieten down.

CARTER: Hey man... where are you?

ME: In the car, we're getting our newest edition today.

CARTER: Oh right, forgot about that. Well, I got good news and bad news. Which do you want first?

MITCH: Bad please Carter, the good will at least cheer me up.

CARTER: Alright Mitchell, anyway, bad news is I'm stuck in here for another month because of my little unscheduled absence.

MITCH: Carter! I thought something bad had happened.

CARTER: How can you say this isn't bad? I hate hospitals.

MITCH: I know babe but we'll visit as soon as possible.

ME: What's the good news then?!

MITCH: Scottland!

CARTER: It's ok Mitch, well the good news Scott is Brealynn and Avi are expecting.

MITCH: No way. Oh my god, we're gonna be uncles.

ME: That's great, tell her we are so happy and will visit soon.

CARTER: Will do. Anyway, better go before the nurse catches me.

ALL OF US: Bye!

I hung up and turned the music up again. Mitch was giving me a look, it made me feel uncomfortable and I turned to face him at a red light. "Babe, why do you keep looking at me like that?" I asked, "why'd you snap at Carter?" he asked. "I just got a little jealous of you calling him babe." I replied. "Well next time snap at me and not him." snapped Mitch. We both stopped arguing when we heard quiet sobs in the backseat. We turned round and saw Alex with his face burried in his hoodie. "Baby boy, what's up?" Mitch asked, "I don't like it when you two fight. It scares me." cried Alex. Mitch undid his seat belt and clambered into the back with Alex. He wrapped his arms around Alex and let him cry into his chest.

"We're so sorry Alex, we didn't mean to start fighting like that." I said, Alex sniffled and rubbed his head against Mitch's chest. "When my parents fought, it usually resulted in me getting hit." he cried and Mitch held him tightly against his chest. "We would never baby boy, we could never hurt you. I didn't mean to snap at Daddy." said Mitch kissing the top of Alex's head. By the time Alex calmed down, we'd arrived at the place. We walked in and were greeted by a woman.

"Hello, you must be Scott, Mitch and Alex."

"Yes, I'm Scott, this is Mitch and our son Alex."

"Well, your kitten is already to go except one thing."

She lead us through to the room where all the kittens were. Our new member was curled up beside a ball of black fur. "That ball of fur is a pup named Alfie. Ever since we brought him in, your little guy has been obssessed with him." she explained and I turned to Mitch.

"What do we do?"

"I don't know, I don't wanna separate them."

"Can we take both?"

We looked down at Alex, who sitting with Alfie and our cat. "Come on Scooter, we are not winning this battle." said Mitch taking the papers and signing the for both animals. We loaded them into the car, noth lying in the back with Alex.

"You got a name for them yet?" Mitch asked and Alex nodded.

"Wyatt Blue Grassi-Hoying for the cat and Alfie Carter Grassi-Hoying for the dog." he replied pulling them both on to his lap.

I smiled at Mitch, who smiled back. "Best earlier Christmas gift ever." I mouthed to him.

"I know." he mouthed back as we pulled away and began the long drive home...
