-SCOTT'S POV-

I woke up with Mitch curled up into my side, his arm drapped lazily over my chest and his head resting on my shoulder. "No wonder I married this man." I thought myself as I carefully moved Mitch so I could get up. I grabbed my phone to have several missed calls from Carter and Kevin. "Why do I always get everyone's calls?" I asked myself stepping into the bathroom to call one of them back. It rung for a bit before I could hear Carter and Kirstie arguing in the background. I smiled knowing they were still the best of friends even though they fought like cat and dog.

"Hello?"

"Oh hey Scott, did I wake you?"

"No Carter but what's up? I've got like seventeen missed calls."

"Yeah... um... I need you to come to my apartment. I've got something to show you."

"Sure, what is it?"

"I'll explain once you get here and I just need you. We can explain to Mitch and Alex later."

"Ok, I'll be there is ten."

"Right bye."

And the line went dead. "Wonder what he wants." I thought aloud before getting dressed and grabbing my car keys. I left a note of Mitch's bedside table explaining where I was so he didn't freak. I jumped in my car and drove to Carter's apartment. I saw Kirstie's car parked outside making me kind of nervous. These two only got together at rehersals or birthdays never just the two of them in the sam room with nobody else. I got out my car, jogged up the stairs and pressed the buzzer. "Scott?" asked Kirstie through the speaker, "yeah it's me." I replied and the door opened. "Come on up." she said with an unsteady voice. I didn't worry about it too much, I knocked on the door and Carter answered. "Hey man, what's up?" I asked, "hey come in. We gotta a lot to talk about." he said pulling me into his apartment gently by the wrist. He led me over to the couch and sat me down. Kirstie was sitting in an armchair and Carter took a seat next to me. "Scott, do you remember Tara Locksby?" asked Carter, I raised an eyebrow and thought about the name. It rang a bell like from high school or college, then it dawned on me.

"Tara from college?"

"Yeah, Kevin dated her before he left for his college of choice."

"Yeah I remember her, why?"

"Well, we did a little digging into Alex's past because Mitch had asked us to and we found some pretty disturbing and terrifiying things about your boy."

"Like?"

"Firstly, Kirk and Lela are not his biological parents."

"What?"

"On the day Alex was born, a baby boy by the name of Alexander Locksby went missing from the maternity hospital in L.A. He was never found but people kept claiming they saw a child of the description who was called Alex Moore. The police never did anything but social services got invovled due to neighbours complaining about the small child screaming at night and looking extremely poorly. Alex spent the next six years in a child home until adoptd by you and Mitch."

"What does this have to do with Alex and Tara?"

"Alex is Tara's missing son. That baby that went missing was Alex."

"No, it can't be. Does Tara know this?"

"That's the thing Scottie, Tara died after Alex was reported missing. She kinda commited suicide over losing her son."

I couldn't believe what Carter had just told me, I was having trouble processing the information. "I'm not done Scott." said Carter and I looked back at him.

"Before the court case two years ago, I had a DNA test done on Alex to prove this and that's what makes this a little more shocking."

"What is it Carter?"

"The results came up and I found out Tara was the mother and Alex's full birth name. Oh and of course the father's name."

"Which is?"

"Alex's full birth name was Alexander Hoying Locksby and your name came up as the biological father.

I could have fainted at what I just heard, "wait so I adopted my own son?" I asked and both of them nodded. "I need to tell Mitch and Alex." I said and Carter handed my a pile of paper. "You're gonna need these." he said softly. "Thanks man." I replied, grabbing my car keys and got in my car. I pulled into the driveway, I looked in the window to see Mitch and Alex sitting on the couch, watching Spongebob and eating waffles. I leaned my head against the steering wheel before getting out and entering my apartment...

-MITCH'S POV-

The front door opened and shut and Scott walked in. "Hey Scottie." I said and he waved. "Hi Daddy." said Alex and Scott smiled. "Hey buddy, could you give me and Papa a minute?" he asked and Alex nodded. He walked into his bedroom and shut the door. "Wha's up Scottland?" I asked and Scott pulled out a pile of paper. "What's all this? What did Carter want?" I asked again and Scott just pointed at the pile of paper. I began reading through it all and my eyes got wider and wider. Once I finished I turned to Scott, who had tears brimming his eyes making me slightly upset. "First off, you had a thing with Tara and secondly Scottie, you're a daddy for real." I said clearly surprising to Scott. "You're ok with this?" he asked, a few tears trickling down his cheeks. "Of course, just makes him calling you daddy more cute." I said causing Scott to smile. "Wait? You really are my Daddy?" sounded Alex's voice from behind us. We turned round quickly to see our thirteen year old son with tears in his eyes. "Yeah pal, I'm your real dad." replied Scott, Alex ran into Scott's arms and wrapped his arms around his neck. We had a little group hug before settling back of the couch to watch more Spongebob.

After about an hour, the doorbell rang and me and Scott both looked at each other. "You get it." he said and I chuckled. "No you get it." I said and he groaned and got up. Scott got to his feet and slowly opened the door. "Are you Scott Hoying?" I heard someone ask at the door and Scott nodded.

"That can't be right."

I got up and peerd around Scott to see a woman standing the door with two boys no older than four years old.

What is this day turning into...
