~SCOTT'S POV~
Me, Mitch and Alex followed Avi and Brealynn in our car. Mitch was freaking out more than Brealynn was before we left the house, I put my hand on his thight and he looked at me. "Sorry Scottie but I'm just nervous." he said putting his hand on top of mine. I looked into his chocolate coloured eyes and smiled. "Don't be, Brealynn's a tough chick. She'll be fine." I said. Alex coughed causing me to chuckle. "Yeah kiddo?" asked Mitch turning back to face him. "Oh no, I just want you two to stop." he said causing Mitch to burst out laughing. He spun back around in his seat as we pulled into the hosiptal for the fourth hundred time. Avi helped Brealynn in, nurses rushed her to the labour ward and the rest of us were made to wait. Mitch gripped my hand whilst Kevin distracted Alex by showing him how to beatbox.
"Which one of you is Avi Kaplan?"
*Avi leapt to his feet* "That me, I'm Avi Kaplan."
"Are you the father?"
"Yes, is she ok?"
"Yes Brealynn is fine, you can come in now. She wanted you there for the birth."
Avi left with the nurse and we continued waited for any news. Mitch eventally calm down and fell asleep against my shoulder. Hours past and no one had to come back to tell us anything. Alex wandered over, sat beside me and cuddled up against my other side. "Hey buddy. Tired?" I asked throwing my arm aorund his shoulders. "Yeah, by the way Merry Christmas Daddy." he said drifting off to sleep. I looked at the clock, "oh my god it's Christmas morning." I exclaimed quietly trying not to wake my boys. Kevin and Kirstie came over, both smiling and yawning. "Merry Christmas Scott." said Kirstie giving me a hug, trying not distrube Mitch and Alex. "Merry Christmas Kirstie." I replied trying to hug her back. "Merry Christmas man." said Kevin fist bumping me. "Same too you man." I replied.
I felt Mitch begin to move as he sat up straight and rubbed is eyes. "What's going on?" he asked, "it's Christmas morning Mitchie." I said and he looked at me. He smiled and wrapped his arms around my neck. "Merry Christmas Scooter." he whispered and I chuckled. "Merry Christmas Mitchell." I replied. We waited a few more hours and eventually a nurse came to fill us in. "Follow me." she said and we all got to our feet and followed. I pushed Brealynn's door open and we saw her holding a blue blanket. We looked over to Avi, who was also holding a blue blanket. "Uh hold on, I thought you were only expecting one." whispered Mitch, "so did we but it's Christmas after all." Brealynn replied cradling one of her sons.
~MITCH'S POV~
"So, what are we calling these little angels?" I asked sitting beside Brealynn, Brealynn and Avi looked at each other and then back at us. "We don't know." they said in sync causing Scott to laugh. "Well let's brainstorm together and see what we come up with." I suggested and everyone agreed. It took about twenty minutes for someone to come up with anything. "What about Noah?" suggested Alex looking at the little angel Avi was holding. "Brealynn." said Avi and she looked at Alex. "It's perfect, now what do we call this little one?" she said nuzzling the baby she was holding. We all started thinking again, no one could think until Alex spoke again. "Maybe Chase, he looks like a cool little dude." he said and Brealynn pulled him into a hug. "You're a good judge of character, you know that Ally?" she said and Alex smiled at Chase.
This definetly was the best way to spend our Christmas morning and you can clearly see why.
