It was August 20th. Moving day. I grabbed my suitcase and the movers already left with our stuff. My mom, Dianne, and my sister Carrie, sat in the car. Carrie is 19 years old. While I'm 17.

We're moving to Plainview, MA. Ive never even knew that existed but here we are. I stuffed my guitar in the back and put my seat belt on.

"Alright hunnies. Let's roll!" My mother excitedly said.

"I call aux." I said. Even though I was in the back, we usually played by those rules. It was long enough to reach anyway.

"No way Y/N." She tried to argue.

"Uh uh uh Carrie. You know the rules." I smiled and bit my lip in excitement. There was new song by one of my favorite band. Even though they hate most of my music, I didn't care.

"Now, time to sit back and relax for 2 hours while we drive." I smiled.

I widened my eyes as we arrived to the new house. It was...basic. It gave off classic white mom vibes but y'know. What can ya do?

I got out and stretched. "Alright ladies. Take the suitcases out of the trunk and I'll get the boxes out of the moving truck. No complaints?" She smiled.

I rolled my eyes. I didn't wanna do anything. Just relax. The suit cases were tightly packed in there, but I was nervous to take one out, afraid they were all gonna fall.

To my surprise, Carrie was already in the house. "Shit." I huffed.

"Okay Y/N. It's not a problem. Just grab and go." I whispered to myself. I shook my hands. "Alright." I pulled one of the suitcases and stepped out of the way quickly. "Alright. Look at me!"

I threw the suitcases on the ground and then up one by one. Suddenly, I fell. I fucking tripped over one of the suitcases and fell right in the grass. Face first.

"Ugh." I spit out the grass on my tongue and got up before hearing a voice behind me.

"Well. I'm no expert, but I don't think that's how you walk a suitcase." He cracked a smile.

I rolled my eyes and got up. God, he was attractive. His voice was as well. "Okay asshole. If you talk that much shit maybe you should try and help me." I tilted my head. "Just a thought."

"My names not asshole, it's Rodrick. As it happens, I've already been told to help you. My mom told me to come and "WeLcOmE tHe NeIgHbOrS!" so I'm doing exactly that." I licked my teeth.

"Oh yeah so welcoming." I raised my eyebrows. My sister opened the door and shouted at me to hurry up.

"Y/N! You take forever it's not that hard to carry suitcases." She sighed annoyed.

"Oh yeah? Then why don't you come and help me?" She smiled.

"You're new boyfriend seems like he's already doing that. Come one buddy, help the girls out!" She winked and smiled.

I scoffed and waited for her to go back into the house. Rodrick picked up a suitcase and started walking. I joined and he made slight conversation. Not a good one at that.

"Is that your sister? She's a total babe." I looked at him in disgust and he gave me a confused look.

"Yeah it's my sister. She's lazy and does nothing but sit there and look pretty." I exaggeratedly said.

"Maybe you could hook me up." I laughed in his face while sitting down the suitcase.

"Oh yeah I'd totally do that. Besides. You're like 10 and she's 22." I joked. He followed me as I walked out the door to get more suitcases.
