Drummer? Maybe?

We listened to some music and then we arrived. It wasn't too far from the house. Maybe about 10 minutes, but if I walked I know it would turn into 20.

"Thanks Rodrick. Wish me luck. I sat up and realized I was shaking. Was I actually nervous? I sat back down and took a minute. It was my first time playing in a while.

Was I really gonna be able to make an impression? I mean there has to be at least some good people in Plainview. Right? I could tell Rodrick could see me panicking.

He grabbed my hand and put it up to his neck. "Don't worry Y/N. You'll do amazing. Just don't screw it up on yourself just cause you're nervous okay?"

For some reason that gave me a boost and I opened the car door and waved goodbye to Rodrick. God, he was a very nice person when he put his mind to it.

I rushed in the door and smiled at the front desk lady. I assumed she was the woman who talked to me on the phone.

"Hi! It's so nice to meet you. You must be the girl I spoke to on the phone?" She said with happiness.

"Yes I am! Are you gonna be holding my audition." I said with hope. She seemed very calm and the type of person not to judge anyone.

"Unfortunately I am not. The whole band is actually. They're in the back room. I can lead you there if you would like me to?" She said.

I nodded vigorously. I needed all the help I could get around here. She led me to the back.

"Just a warning. The lead singer of the band can be a bit bossy, so try to stay on her good side. She likes people who are honest and good at their job. Her name is Genevieve. Just be careful okay? She won't go easy on you."

"I'll try my best. I'm an honest person and I don't let people walk over me. I'll be okay, but if I'm not...you'll be there right?" She smiled and gave me a rub on the shoulder.

"I'll be here." She knocked on the door for me and left hurriedly. I looked at her confused until the door swung open.

"You're my 2:15 right? You should've been here 5 minutes ago!" I immediately knew who this was and stood my ground.

"Not like I'm using this as an excuse, but it took a while for me to make my way back here. I was also having a conversation with front desk." She gave a big sigh and sat down in the couch behind her.

I noticed other people. People apart of the band I'm guessing? A girl with blonde hair and bangs wearing a black slip dress. A very cute one at that. Another girl next to her as well. She had black hair, blonde eyebrows and many piercings on her ears and nose. Super cute makeup as well.

And finally, Genevieve. She had short black hair, white thigh high socks and super cute platform shoes. She was wearing a navy blue dress with a shirt sleeve white collar shirt under.

Okay. I see we have some people with style here. I smiled. "What are you waiting for? Come sit." Genevieve said.

"Where have you played?" She already started asking questions.

The blonde one jumped in. "It's okay if you mostly play at home. All of us started out that way anyway." She sounded bubbly. Not to play into the typical, "dumb blonde" stereotype, but that's what she was like.

"I've mostly played at home, and I'll just warn you right now, I haven't played in a while. But when I do play, I promise you I can run the stage." I said.

"Okay then," the girl with blonde eyebrows said, "show us. Our equipment is in the back room. Plus, you'll run the stage right?"

"That's right." I smiled. I had charisma. That's for damn sure. We all walked out of the room and into the equipment room. The drum set was absolutely insane.
