When everything is dark

Accident

 It was raining in the US.

The sound of rain advised her to sleep a bit more.

Even though it was still a little cold for her, Chris was getting used to the weather now.
In her native it is usually sunny.
She and her family moved to Texas a year ago as her dad was appointed as a manager of his company. 

"Hop, hop!"

said her sister.

"You don't wanna miss the first day of school!".

"Oh come on Tina. I was working full night....I need some rest"

she said pulling back the covers.

Tina scoffed.

"Really?! The 'work' you're mentioning  is uploading chapters of your book isn't it?"

 Chris snapped her eyes open.

"Don't tell mum and dad. They'll make meat out of me" 

"I won't if you get up and take a bath. Now come on, I don't want to be embarrassed being late because of you."

"Right."

she responded, freeing herself from her blankets.

"~I'm coming ,hot showers~ ".

Her sister shook her head at Chris's tactics and left the room.

After taking a nice, refreshing and warm shower, she dressed up and tied her hair. 

Much to her annoyance, she heard the same, old voice downstairs checking the school supplies.

"Bag, check.
Lunch, check.
Sport shoes, check".

"Really sis? I guess this is the 3 times you're checking them"

Shooting her with a stare, Tina just continued to pack her bags.

"I wonder what's new in school, nothing would have changed"

 she mumbled to herself while dumping her books absent mindedly into her bag. Shoving  the chicken dumplings in her mouth, she snatched her lunch and rushing to the car where Tina was blabbing about what will occur if we're late on the first day.

Scoffing, she got into the car as their dad drove them to school.

"Have a good day!"

he said as they got down. 

"We will, love you dad."

said Tina ,waving.

It was the usual in her class. Only her homeroom teacher had changed.
After classes she had lunch with Ryan and Zoe discussing the latest gossip.

They were taught how to play kho- kho and then had biology where they learnt about the human body-again. But this time a little more detailed. 

After reaching home tired, she changed to her pj's and grabbed her laptop.
She was a huge potterhead.
After reading Emekasign's fanfictions, she was motivated and she had decided to come up with one too.

"Joe! Are you there?"

she screamed from her room.

 "What is it?!"

Joe screamed back.

"Can you bring me a donut and a cola?!" 

"Only if you let me borrow your sketches!"

"Sure! You can have them!"

Joe entered her room with a triple chocolate-layered donut and a can of frozen coca-cola.
