Rosella's POV

"Bye Mayu. I'll see ya soon" Mayu pulls me into a hug.

"Alright have fun but not too much fun, never without me. We'll go to New York together next time and we can both get drunk as fuck." She tells me.

I can't believe Mellissa Barlacotta actually asked me to come to her New York event. Her clothing line is amazing but she is such a big person in the business world too. This woman is my inspiration.

Before I know it the Audi comes to a stop and Ross is opening up the door for me. I grab my bag and come out of the car. Ross grabs my luggage from the trunk and pulls it to me. I give him a hug and a quick thank you.

I sit in the boarding area and pull out the book that I've been reading.

People are now starting to line up, so I grab my things and wait in line. I give the lady my ticket and she hands it back to me letting me know that I can walk through.

As soon as I find my seat I bring up my luggage and put it in the compartment above. I thought I had it secured in there but then it started to slide back down.

Suddenly someone's hands pushed it back up before my luggage can hit me. I turn my head to the person to thank them.

I'm then met with blonde hair and extremely beautiful ocean blue eyes. He smiles and looks directly at me.

"Oh my god, that could've gone really badly and would've definitely been embarrassing. Thank you." I tell the blonde man.

"Not a problem at all. Just glad that I could hel-oop and get my seat stolen as well," he says. I tilt my head over and notice that a little boy has now taken his spot.

I let out a dramatic sigh, "Usually I like my privacy but I guess I'll make an exception for you to sit next to me." I tell him sarcastically.

"Well aren't I lucky to be sitting next tooo-" He says while waiting for me to finish his sentence by giving him my name.

"Rosella, but if you sit by me I get the window seat." I laugh.

"Seriously!! Fine as long as I'm getting a plane seat. It's already packed I'm pretty sure they're no more other seats." He chuckles.

I look back at him once I realized that I didn't even ask for his name. "Sorry I didn't ask before, but now that you know my name I think I need to know who's sitting next to me," I tell him.

"I don't know if I should give you that information," He tells me jokingly.

"Well if anything bad were to happen I think I should at least tell the cops your name," I say.

"Very funny, but my name is Aaron," He tells me.

If everyone could please put their seatbelt on and put their smaller bags under your seat. We are about to take the flight to New York. Our destination time will be 9:30 pm. Our estimated flight time will be five hours and thirty minutes.

"Five-hour flight. I think I'll be knowing all of your secrets by then," I tell him.

He laughs at me, "What are you heading to New York for?"

"I got invited to the Barlacotta New York event. It's for other companies to get together and know each other." I tell him.

His eyes widen "Ah, no way, your Rosella Montinero. I'm heading to the same place too. I'm the CEO of my photography company. This is actually my second time being invited."

"Yeah, that's me. This would actually be my first time being invited. Mellissa is my inspiration!" I tell Aaron excitedly.

"Well I hope to see you throughout the event then." He continues.

Aaron and I talked for most of the flight. He started his photography company because he loved the city, and capturing the cities skyscrapers from above at night was an unforgettable image.

We drifted to my clothing line, he mentioned that his sisters wear many of my dresses.

I later on pulled out some of the paperwork that I needed to finish and soon text Mayu about the decisions I made on patterns and colors for the new dresses.

After hopping off the plane Aaron and I shared a taxi to Barlacotta's company. Mellissa needed the people that were attending the event to come and have a short meeting so that she can give a rundown of what it will be like for the next two days in New York City.

"Well, I'm going to head back to my hotel room and sleep for the night. I am so jet-lagged." I say to Aaron. All the other CEOs started to walk out when the meeting was over.

"Are you sure? You only get two days here! It's time to go to a bar and drink the night away, but not too much because we do have an event tomorrow." I laugh at his extra comment but shake my head no.

"I really just want to get the rest of my other paperwork done and sleep but thanks for the invite, Aaron." He tilts his head at me and gives me a soft smile.

"Well if you change your mind let me know. I'll be inviting my other friends that live here too. Here, take my number in case you change your mind." Aaron hands me a piece of paper with his number written on it.

I know for a fact that I'm not going out tonight, but I appreciate his friendliness.

I get into a cab and tell the driver the hotel place. After the fifteen-minute drive, I'm walking to the front desk to get my room key.

I love it! The room looks cozy and welcoming and it gives me a wonderful view of the Empire State Building and the smaller sky scrappers around it. The kitchen is open and leads right into the living room. Then I turn my head to the right once I see a bedroom.

I pull my bags into the room and lay them in the closet. I walk out into the living room and stare at the city.

It's then that I remember about the twins. Everything has been work for the past few days and I didn't even tell them I'm on a business trip. Should I text them? Wait why would I? That's weird.

I mean they took me on a date, but are we talking? I'm so confused. I mean they haven't gotten in touch with me either, so I think I'm just going to wait until this trip is over I guess.

I don't want them to think I'm clingy, but I really want to talk to them...

Although it would be nice to get a call or a text from one of them, I guess I could do the same, but I'm just fucking scared.

I get into the shower and then I take off my make-up and do my skin care routine. I put my hair up in a bun and walk into my room and pull out my laptop from my bag.

Just finish this and all you have to think about is the event for the next two days. The quicker you get this done the less stress you'll be in.

Before I turn on my laptop I set an alarm on my phone for tomorrow. I start to grab some of my papers and read through them while taking notes on what I would or wouldn't like on my designs.

After a bit of work, I look at my laptop's clock and see that it's already two in the morning.

"Oh my god. I've been working for almost two hours already. I'm just going to finish this last paper and then lights out." I tell myself.

I'm so tired...I begin to sink against the soft pillows and the room starts to get darker. My hands-on the papers begin to loosen and now my eyes are slowly closing.

It's 2:30 AM while I'm writing this I feel like my eyes are slowly closing.
