Not One But Two

Chapter 17

Rosella's POV

We both sat down and started to chat a little longer until we heard, "Welcome to the Barlacotta event. I am so excited to see old and new faces here! This would be my tenth year doing this event and I couldn't be any happier." We hear Mellissa say.

She starts to walk to the head of the table and take a seat. My eyes start to follow her and I begin to notice all the people sitting in the room.

My eyes move to the right more and my eyes widen in shock. Vex and Marcello are sitting right across from me.

Why didn't they tell me they were going on a business trip too.

I give them both a bright smile, but they look at me dead in the eye with no smile on their faces. What's their problem? I saw Vex an hour ago why didn't he say anything? I can't help but feel a bit hurt.

I know it's stupid but I haven't seen or talked to them in a while and I just wish they could show a little smile that they are happy to see me.

I turn my head away once I feel someone tap on my shoulder.

"They just asked for the new people to stand up," Aaron whispers to me.

I get up from my chair and stand.

"Yes. This year we have quite a few people. This year 2021 Barlacotta event we have Lewis the CEO of Heighten News, Valencia CEO of Alona, Maya the CEO of Maya and Lisa's fashion, Kaden the CEO of Memoren, and Rosella the CEO of Montinero's clothing." Mellissa named the new people at the event and then told us to take our seats.

Aaron gives me a warm smile once I take my seat. We both turn our attention back to Mellissa and listen to her other introductions.

Throughout the meeting, I can feel Vex and Marcello staring at me, and every now and then I would glance at both of them.

I have no idea what is going on, but their stare is really making me uncomfortable.

Today Mellissa just wanted to split us into our own company category.

Aaron has been such a great friend to me. Inside and outside of work. He's been giving me pointers and telling me things to look out for during this event.

It's my first time being at this event and I want to make a good impression.

Since today was an introduction the meeting lasted for only two hours. Tomorrow is when the event truly begins.

As I start to gather up my things I go to grab my pen but someone else hands lands right on top of it and picks it up. God this person's hands are hot I really want it around me-

"Here," I hear that deep voice and I know exactly who it is from.

I lift my head and see that Marcello is handing me my pen. I place it in my bag and look back at him.

He continues to give me that deadly stare that he and his brother has been giving me throughout the whole meeting.

Marcello bends down, places his mouth near my ear, and whispers, "We need to talk." Even though he says it angrily I just can't stop thinking about that dark and deep voice.

It really makes my panties wet.

Before I can talk back to Marcello, Aaron walks up to me. "Hey, what about we go to the bar today. We can just talk about today's meeting and other things. I know when I asked you yesterday to join my friends might've been uncomfortable since you don't know them, but tonight we can go together." He tells me enthusiastically.
