Detective Sato looked through the records of the boy named Gintoki Jinsoku, it was hard trying to find any records of his family.

"Oh! Sato, what are you doing here so late?" asked a man, the detective turned around to see a plump older man wearing an orangish trench coat, formal pants with the same shade, and formal shoes. On his head, he wore a hat with the same color scheme.

"I found a child wandering the park all alone, he didn't know where his parents were, so I brought him here so we could investigate where they are right now," explained the detective.

"The boy doesn't know his address or their phone number?" asked the inspector, getting closer and checking the papers on the table.

"I can't find the boy's records anywhere," she said, sighing.

"What's the boy's name?" asked the inspector. Sato turned around and looked at him with bags under her eyes.

"Gintoki Jinsoku" she answered, turning her head to look back at the different records she had in front of her.

"Did you say Jinsoku?!" asked the inspector, quickly grabbing the detective's shoulder.

"Y-Yes?" answered Sato startled, she didn't remember the last time the inspector was so startled.

"Is there something wrong?" asked Sato, turning her head towards the papers in front of her.

"You won't be finding the papers you want there, detective," said the inspector, walking towards his desk on the other side of the room. Sato followed him and looked over his shoulder. The inspector took some papers from his desk and then turned around, "Hajimari Jinsoku and Owari Jinsoku, age 36 were killed during a robbery three months ago," answered the inspector, handing the detective the papers.

The detective read through the papers and widened her eyes, on the papers it showed a picture of Gintoki. Her eyes widened and her chest felt heavy, she knew what the boy would go through later -- no, it would be much harsher for the boy, even when she lost her father, she still had the support of her mother.

"This..." said Sato, looking through the papers again, "W-What do we do?" asked the detective, placing the papers on the desk.

"The trial for his custody will start next week, I don't think we've found a suitable guardian for the child yet." said the inspector.

"Have they caught the killer?" asked the detective, looking through the file of the case. Her eyes widened when she saw it had been unsolved.

"No, we haven't found the killer, nor do we have any new leads." said the Inspector, tilting his hat forwards. The inspector and Sato both walked towards the room the child was in and looked through the window, the child was fast asleep and seemed to be quite comfortable.

"What should we do?" asked Sato, making the inspector sigh, "For now it's better to enroll him in a school nearby and have him stay with someone trustworthy," he said, "If the killer finds out they had a child they might come after him, so it's better to have him supervised." said the inspector, going towards a phone.

"Hello, Mori-kun, can we ask a favor from you?" asked the inspector, "We need you to take care of a child in possible danger, his name is Gintoki Jinsoku," said the inspector over the phone, "We'll pay for his stay," said the inspector, "Yes, that Jinsoku family." The inspector put his hand over the phone and looked at detective Sato.
