"The library is outside on the other side of the pack house. Here I'll show you after I'm done." Emily said.

"No that's ok I'll find it on my own." I hurried up and changed into a pair of clothes that was left on the couch. I didn't want Emily to know what I was up to and that I planned on leaving. No doubt with her loyalty and her fear of Rhazo she would tell on me in a heartbeat.

"Oh ok well if you get lost there are guards around the yard that will help you, just tell them your the alpha female." Emily said quickly before getting back to making up the bed. I almost feel bad for acting this way towards her but I have a gut feeling that I need to do this on my own and not have anyone know.

"Thanks Emily." I said right before I left out the door. I know she felt some type of way that I'm being distant with her. But after Rhazo's mood change, all I want to do is get the hell out of here. I've fallen into his trap becoming his alpha female, being seduced by him, he took me away from my family. Now it's time to get back on track. The deviation. I have to figure out what that means.

As I Walked across the backyard the sun shined bright on my melanin skin. The pack members were in the small lake enjoying the fresh air in all their naked glory. The children running around playing chase and prey like always. This pack was one of the most openness pack I've ever been to. Couples were moaning in the lake as they started their fornication early in the morning. Dragging my eyes away from the scene I see the guards in the distance corner their tribal tattoos bulging out from their similar uniform. One thing I notice is that they don't have anywhere near as much tattoo as Rhazo did. Unlike them Rhazo was covered in tattoos all the way down to his ankles. I made a bee line for them dodging the kids that were running past. It wasn't until I heard I familiar voice that I stop my trudge.

"I see you haven't missed me." I deep voice from behind me said. I turned around my eyes widen as I took in the man before me. How could I forget him.

"Lucas." I said breathless. The last time I seen him he had tubes and IV's coming out of him. Now he looked like a better man.

"You just gonna stand there with your mouth gaping or are you gonna give me a hug." Lucas said with a smile and his arms spread wide.

Hesitantly I made a move towards him remembering how he got hurt last time I was around him. But remembering that Rhazo is no longer going to dictate what I do, I run into his arms with a big smile on my face. He wraps his arms around my back as he lifts me off the ground. It feels nice to have a gentle soothing touch on me knowing that the person has good intentions.

"When did they let you out, are you feeling better, you look like a new person." I blurted out.

He laughed at my questions and face I gave him.

"Slow down they been let me out and I'm feeling a lot better, plus I've been working out since they released me." Lucas said with a boyish grin.

"They been let you out and you decided not to come see me." I said backing away from him in a playful manner. I don't know what it is but I feel like I can always be myself when I'm with Lucas even though I've only known him for a few days those few days where nice.

Lucas hold his head down as he look up at me with his brown eyes.

"I saw your competition, your alpha female now." Lucas said his head lifted back up as he looked at me through his eyelashes.

"Yeah I guess." I whispered, my smile vanishing as I looked away from him and at the wolves who were enjoying themselves in the lake.

"Hey." Lucas grabbed my chin so I would look back at him.

"You were great out there, Katie didn't see what was coming to her." Lucas said with a big smile on his face.

I smiled widely. Even when I was going through the toughest things he always knew how to make me smile. But then I realized the ceremony was held right after the challenge he must have saw me and Rhazo.

"Were you also there at the ceremony." I asked my eyes wide. I don't know why but I didn't want him to be there. To see me with Rhazo doing...those things.

"No I left before the ceremony took place." Lucas said looking at me with curious eyes.

"I usually don't participate in those activities unless my female would want an audience." Lucas said with a small grin. I don't know why but a pink blush made its way to my brown skin. But something also made it's way deep down. Remembering how Rhazo had me displayed for everybody to see as he did away with me. Made my body react in so many ways.

"Where are you heading." Lucas asked me. Curiosity in his eyes. Weather or not I should trust him or not didn't cross my mind at all. I felt like I can tell him anything."

"To the library." I said.

"Well your going the wrong way, come on." Lucas said as he put his arm around me not wary of the fact that Rhazo could walk around the corner any minute. But I was. Rhazo could pop up and do the same thing that lead to him being in the infirmary. As we walked I was cautious but also observant. I notice that the guards had a blind spot along side the woods. When one walked the other didn't follow. This could be my chance!

I turned my head back to where Lucas was taking me. We walked for a very long time, far away from the pack almost down towards the town before we finally got there. It was a big renaissance church looking building. With stained glass to cover its windows. Why was this building here? It looked like it belonged in the 1700s. Coming around the corner of the building, it's view was much similar to the church. There was a whole town for miles from what I can see just filled with old houses with a big blue lake right in the middle. It looked like it belonged in the Renaissance museum. It was beautiful.

"Where are we?"

"Lake Como." Lucas said as I walked up next to the railing that stopped you from going over in the lake.

"Maybe I can take you out sometime and show you around-" Lucas proposal that's was godawful cute had to be cut sort as I saw something I didn't like.

Rhazo.

What the hell was he doing here. I push Lucas back behind the wall making sure he didn't see us.

"What's wrong." Lucas whispered."

"Rhazo." I whispered back. His nonchalant demeanor from back at the pack house changed in a instant. He knew that if Rhazo saw him now with me. He would not spare him this time. He would kill him.

I peeked over the building to look at him but what I saw surprised me. He was talking to a middle aged woman she looked to be in her 30s with red lipstick and a bright red dress to match although her hair seemed to come from the 80s. Their manner towards each other didn't seem to be flirtatious at all. In fact this woman just hit him in the arm in a what-I-say-so-goes way. My eyes went wide at the next action of the mysterious lady. She licked her thumb and wiped Rhazo's face as he shot back in disgust.

Could it be?

"What's going on." Lucas asked.

I ignored Lucas's constant blabbering when what I could be witnessing was Rhazo and his mother!

This one was much shorter than most of my chapters but hear me out. I'm thinking about making my chapter a little bit shorter, just a little bit so I can get more chapters posted in a week. So the chapter would be shorter be you would have 2 chapters a week instead of 1 chapter a week. Tell me what you guys think in the comments.
