The Call

As I dialed my mother's number my heart was pounding out of my chest! She answers

" yes baby "

"I need you home now, something happen to the house and Bear! " 

Seems like the we were holding the phone for 10 minutes before I said something .

" ma, hello ? "

" that stupid bastard , I'm on my way baby just make sure you and your sisters are safe" the line went dead. I went over to Takia because she was taking it the hardest I let the neighbors know and to make sure they called the humane shelter. We hurried in the house and went upstairs to my room and watched tv. I was so sleepy but I couldn't go. I made it my business to make sure that my babies were straight. As they drifted off to sleep I heard my mama's 2009 camry pull into the yard I walked downstairs quietly and opened the front door I could tell she had been crying and I could see the worry in her eyes. I assured her that we were okay and we would make it out of this! She gave me a hug and we entered the house. The first room we went into was hers, the strong scent of hot piss choked us we thought it was coming from the bathroom but once we pulled the covers back we notice the stains over the new bed .

"Ma how could someone be so nasty && trifling ?"

" it's some nasty ignorant people in this world baby " she replied. She hurried and grabbed some clothes and told me to do the same for me and Takia . I ran upstairs awaken my sisters and made sure we had our bags packed it would be a long drive to my grandmother's house !
