~back in school weeks later.
"babe!" Peter whispered loudly as we sat in the library as usual during our lunch period. I looked over at him and stared until he smirked.
"yes, loud mouth?" I whispered back, going back to my work.
"help!" he whispered loudly again and taped his pen repeatedly ontop of his notebook until I looked down at it.
"God you're whiney today.." I chuckled as I pulled his notebook closer to me.
"you got me sick, I have an excuse." he sighed. I looked up at him and rolled my eyes.
"I warned you! but no.. mister 'No we gotta be the cliche couple and kiss on New Years Eve when the ball drops' didn't listen and kissed me multiple times that night, so you sir, have no excuse cause you sealed your own fate!" I stuck my tongue out before kissing his nose and looking back down at his work.
"I didn't want you to be alone on New Years Eve sick and cranky! pardon me, miss smarty pants!" he chuckled.
"you didn't want to be alone on New Years Eve." I corrected. I pulled out a new sheet of paper and wrote down the answer to his History question then gave the notebook and the sheet back to him.
"thank you, baby" he chuckled and kissed my cheek. I smirked and nodded.
"what's wrong Aubrey?" he asked as he was staring at me. I shrugged.
"just worried about you." I looked up at him with a small smile, he smirked and then looked down at the ground.
"why are you worried?" he asked slowly, grabbing my hand.
"because I just want you to be content and, I guess, as normal as can be with this... slight.. difference? you have.." I said and looked around nervously, not sure how to word it when there are people around.
"Aubrey, don't worry about this ok? it's not your burdon." he sighed, I rolled my eyes.
"but it's hurting you, I can tell you're hurt. It's making you lose sleep Peter.." I mumbled and lightly poked his puffy bags under his eyes.
"no babe, I'm hurting because I don't want anyone else I love to get hurt because of me. This is my mess and I need to end it. I'm losing sleep because I'm trying to figure out how to get steps ahead Derek so we know what's coming, and also I'm trying to figure out how to control everything." he explained.
"have you figured anything out?" I asked, he shook his head and looked around. With the look on his face I knew it was because someone who shouldn't know anything was around us so I dropped the conversation and changed the subject.
I smiled he smirked and put his arm around my shoulders as he led us out of the library just as the bell rang.
the day dragged on, Peter had practice today so I went home and once Rose came home from school I took her out for a sister bonding dinner date. We were at Ruby Tuesdays when Peter called.
"babe. I figured it all out!" he said in shock
"you figured what out.." I asked slowly. There were a lot of things he could have figured out, so I didn't know which he meant.
"how to control everything!!" he said excitedly. I laughed and then sighed.
"do I want to know how you figured it out.."
"where are you right now?"
"Ruby Tuesday with Rosey.. she's in the bathroom though." I spun my straw in my glass as I stared at it, impatient to figure out what he's doing.
"you're not gunna ask where I am?" he laughed, I sighed with a smirk.
"nope, I'm pretty worried.. I think it's better if I don't." I chuckle.
"well, I'll tell you anyway. So. You know that old creepy back road that has cemetaries and no street lights.. it's.. Welken Avenue or something..." he said, I sighed.
"please tell me you aren't-"
"I'm at an old, abondoned building they used to build airplanes in!" he cheered.
"Peter.." I sighed.
"it's great!!" he laughed. I rolled my eyes
"it's illegal." I said, he laughed again.
"that's probably what adds to the great-ness." he said proudly.
"how did you figure out to control everything." I asked.
"training.. and working out.. I figured out the working out part from practice today, that clears my head so I'm not sensing, or shooting webs, and I just kept my mind clear and it worked, now I'm working to control the webs. It's coming along pretty well, actually." he chuckled.
"babe" I sighed worriedly.
"come check it out once you're done eating. Ok?" he asks, I couldn't say no with how damn happy he sounded.
"fine. Text me the directions." I said, he agreed then we hung up and Rose came back just before food came.

I drove slowly down the deserted, dark, foggy road. The speed limit was 50 on this road, but I was doing a solid 30. On one side was a cemetary, the other had landing stips for planes. I was just waiting for some ghostly figure to cross the eiry foggy and dark street. There were no stop signs, street lights, or traffic lights the only lights were my head lights and the directionals in the ground on the landing strip, but they weren't bright enough to light the streets.
I finally found the building Peter was in and parked next to his car and walked in. The building was clouded with dust, the air was thick and un-pleasant. There was a small plane, looked like it was made for just a driver and passenger, and other random parts scattered around.
Peter was up towards the ceiling, standing on a horizontal pillar. I sighed and rolled my eyes.
"do I want to know how you got up there?" I laughed and he smirked.
"sit on that work bench, I want to show you something!" he sounded like a proud 5 year old, so I obeyed and waited patiently.
"LOOK!" he cheered right before he jumped off, and shot his web to the other side of the building, and got pulled up to a different pillar. My mouth was gapped from shock.
"how did you?... did you seriously just..-" I couldn't speak, I was too shocked with what had just happened.
