Peter's POV
after I was inside from walking Aubrey out to her car, I turned off the outside light and locked the door. I went to the living room and gathered up my books and the spider. I made my way up to my room and put everything on my desk. I started to get changed so I could go to bed since I'm exchausted.
Chelsey walked into my room as I was just about to turn off my light and get into bed.
"need a ride home?" I asked, she nodded slowly and grabbed my wallet and keys and headed out to my car with her.
"sorry to make you drive this late." she said, her throat raspy clearly from all the crying she's done tonight.
"it's fine, I don't mind at all." I shrugged. She lived a good two towns away from here and even without traffic it was about an hours drive to her house.
after a couple minutes of neither of us talking she spoke up after clearing her throat. "so, are you and Aubrey dating?"
"nope, just friends" I said she sighed and I felt her starring at me.
"why though! you guys are like perfect for each other!" she whined, I chuckled and shrugged.
"maybe in the future something will happen." I said, she accepted it and we changed the subject. I was glad that she had gotten better than she was earlier, she was normal and happy again.
"thank you!" she exclaimed very thankful as I pulled up to her house. I nodded, defiantly more tired than I had been before. She hugged me tightly before jumping out of the car and running up to the house. I left and headed home once she was safe inside.
once I was home for the night I decided to feed the monster living in my room. I slid open the cage door and placed a grasshopper inside carefully and my face scrunched up in disgust as the spider began its attack.
I went over to my bed, turned on my tv and passed out for the night.
"PETER! get up we're getting your brother!" my step-dad's voice demanded through the door. I woke up in a jolt and rubbed my face.
"you up?" he asked. I groaned a yes and I heard him walk away.
I got up and what I saw was very weird. All over my room were spider webs, I looked around confused and then noticed the spider cage door was slid open. I sighed and began to destroy the webs.
after it was all cleaned up, I went to the bathroom to take a shower. everytime I reached for something, a web appeared. I figured I had some stuck on me so each time I'd rip it away from me and get rid of it.
by the time I was dressed and going to my step-dad's car, I had experience enough spider webs to last me months, I was fed up.
"take care of him while your mother and I are working please." my step-dad sighed as he pulled up to the driveway.
"yeah, yeah." I mumbled and got out of the car slowly. I helped Jay out and then inside the house. I helped him get in bed then went downstairs to get him his pain medication and something to drink.
"hey! where is he?" Chelsey asked happily, walking in to the kitcehn to give me a hug.
"hey and he's up in his room." I said she nodded and put her bag and jacket down.
"Bri coming over today?" she asked with a smile, I shrugged.
"I have no idea, probably not." I said while reading the pill bottle.
"she should! I'll take care of the crippled, you can relax." she offered, I rolled my eyes with a laugh.
"it's fine, he's grumpy today. I'll do it." I shrugged.
"he knows better than to be grumpy to me. Here, I'll take that up for him, you can have Bri come over." she said and took the pills and bottle of water from the counter, then went upstairs.
I did what Chelsey said and took her offer. I invited Bri over because I wanted to see if she knew why I had webs shooting out of me because I defiantly had no idea.
once she arrived I took her up to my room and showed her how the webs come out and she freaked out.
"well, you said you got like this, this morning?" she asked, still freaked out by it. I ripped it off and flicked it in the garbage and nodded.
"I woke up with my room surrounded in webs all from me, and then I realized the monster wasn't in it's cage because the door was open since I fed it and must have left the door open." I explained. She sighed and closed her eyes.
"so a mutated spider bite you, and is now lost." she said slowly. I bit my lip and nodded while I looked around.
"that maybe explains your web problem.." she said, I looked at her and she was covering her face to hide her amused smile.
"this must be hysterical to you." I nodded, and that's when she burst into hysterics. I rolled my eyes and continued walking around my room looking for the thing.
"Pete.." she said slowly, still laughing. I looked at her blankly and she motioned for me to walk over to her so I did.
"I found Harry." she said and bit her lip before getting closer to me.
"where is the dang thing." I sighed annoyed. She chuckled and pulled up my sleeve a little and there he was, laying on my wrist, legs wrapped around me. How the hell didn't I see this earlier?
I scrunched up my face in pure disgust and looked away from it.
"get it off." I demanded, she started laughing again but started to lift him up.
"uh.." she said worriedly. I snapped my head toward her.
"uh? uh what. What's the problem." I asked. She sighed.
"he's like.. stuck. I don't know if he's stuck from his fangs or if it's his legs, but he's glued on you." she said with a shrug. I walked away from her and went to his cage.
"he's glued on me my ass." I insisted and ripped it off of my wrist. I gapsed a curse, as it got thrown into it's cage and shook my wrist as I closed the door.
"what was it" she asked walking over to me.
"I don't know.." I said, still in pain. I pulled up my sleeve and there wasn't any blood.
"as long as he's still living, it's fine. It'll go away." she said. I looked at her doubtfully.
"what? you think you're gunna have webs shooting out of you forever?" she asked raising her eyebrow, an amused smile appearing slowly but surely.
"all I'm thinking is, if I don't know how I got it, how do I know how to get rid of it? any doctor I go to will think I'm utterly insane and just send me to some Physc-Ward." I argued, a highly amused chuckle escaped Bri and she tried her best to contain herself.
"I'm- I'm sorry." she said through fits of giggles, and I just closed my eyes and shook my head as I waited impatiently for her to calm down.
"oh come on! lighten up! you know you would be laughing worse than I am if it were me with this web curse.." she sighed defending herself.
"you know.." she added slowly, I could tell she was thinking something so I waited for her to finish.
"halloween is coming up. Maybe you should go talk to a witch about this." she said and looked up at me. As soon as we made eye contact she started laughing again. I sighed and looked away from her again.
"how the hell am I supposed to go to school when everytime I reach out for something a web appears?" I asked confused, her laughter getting worse. I closed my eyes firmly and I could tell she was trying to stop herself now.
"if you just don't raise your hand and keep everything close to you, you should be good. Maybe go to the library and do homework or something instead of eat." she shrugged. I just nodded, thinking that it would just be easier to stay home tomorrow so I have another day to figure out what was wrong with me.
