Hiii. I haven't updated in... a very long time. I took a break from pretty much everything and now I'm back and I feel so much better! I have so many new ideas for the future of this fic and I'm so excited to keep going and to share them with all of you! Thank you to the ones who keep reading. I love you all!! If you've made it this far in this fic, you know the drill. Start playing "You Are In Love" by Taylor Swift when you see "***"! This Chapter is in Harry's P.O.V.
***I inhale deeply. Okay. I can do this. Why am I even this scared anyways? I've realized that I get more confident and comfortable around him. It's like all my worries go away when we talk. And it's funny because I'm always so nervous before we go out together or something but once we're actually face to face, all that goes away because of him. I got ready to head out and I started wondering if I should tell Gemma. I knew she would for sure be supportive but, I dunno it's still kind of nerve-racking. She's my best friend though and I tell her everything and she always helps me with everything.
"Harry c'mon I'll be waiting in the car," she said while knocking on my bedroom door. I quickly pulled on a dark green sweater that I paired with some plain black jeans. I slipped on my shoes. "Harry, it's 7:40" I heard coming from the front door. I walked out to the car where she beat me too. "God, you really have no patience do you?" I said sarcastically. "No I have plenty of that, you just have no concept of time, sir" while rolling her eyes and pulling out of the driveway.
"So, you've got any plans after school today?" she asked me.
"Um... I mean as of right now, no I guess".
We sat in silence for a bit.
"Harry, I um... I need to tell you something. before you go."
"Yeah what is it?"
"I um... I quit my job"
"You what?" I said in full surprise.
"But I have a new one. The old one paid horribly but this one is a step up and I'm still doing the same thing. It's called the Beachwood Cafe, near Angel Road"
My heart kind of dropped. I tried to not look so stunned. Well shit. What if she notices the way I look at him or embarrasses me while I'm having lunch with Louis or studying there with him. Well, she's definitely gonna notice a pattern. I mean, I go there at least three times a week with him.
"Oh that's-- great!" I said trying to hide my sarcasm and the fact that my heart was beating at a trillion miles per hour.
We got to the school and I saw him. He was wearing a grey hoodie with a denim jacket over it with wool on the interior of it. His hair swift over his forehead looked a bit messy but in a cute way. His beauty was so heart-stopping.
"Harry. Harry!" said Gemma while shaking my shoulder.
"Oh sorry um... what were you saying?"
"Well I was saying that maybe you could swing by at my new job for some support and also you're gonna be late so, I am kicking you out of the car."
"Yeah, for sure I'll pass by later. K bye love you"
"Thank you, love you too," she said with a soft smile.
I walked up to the school while the bell was about to ring. Luckily I made it to my first class on time.
Today I was sitting with Louis and all his friends at lunch. For the first time. God, I was nervous. I didn't know how to feel. It was like there was a rock in the pit of my stomach just weighing me down. Why does he make me feel this way? Why does he drive me insane but in the best way possible?
