-The Next Morning-

•𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐤𝐚 𝐋𝐞𝐰𝐢𝐬•

"Alright everything looks great love bug. Ready to go home?" A cheerful nurse said coming in.

Honestly? No I wasn't ready.

"I'll let you get dressed and come get you in a few just sit tight" she said and walked out.

I wish I could've stayed longer.

I have to go home to Dave now and that just ruined my whole day.

I heard ringing and looked over to see my phone sitting on a chair.

"Hello?" I answered

"Yeah I can't come" I heard Dave say.

"What do you mean you can't come?" I asked

"As in I'm not going to pick you up. I have something important to do" he said

"Important? MORE THAN ME?" I yelled by accident.

"Lower your tone. Uber or something I can't make it"

"Fine" I said and rubbed my temple. "I'll just call Amaza"

"Not going to happen. If she comes the police will be contacted" he said

"WHAT?!" I yelled again. "She's my sister"

"A sorry ass one too" he said and hung up

I couldn't believe it.

He really left me with no one.

Him and Amaza is all I know and he just left me here.

"Didn't mean to eavesdrop but do you need a ride?" A nurse asked.

"Was I that loud?" I asked and she nodded.

"It's fine really" she said

"If you don't mind, yes I do my fiancé couldn't make it" I said

"My shift ends in 20 minutes I can take you if you need" she said

"I appreciate that thank you" I said and she nodded.

She led me to the break room and I saw that doctor from last night.

"Nurse Johnson what's she doing in here?" He asked

"She needed a ride" she said

"I'll take her I was just about to clock out" he said and my eyes got a little big.

Me and him in the same car? Just great more questions.

Just lovely.

We went outside to a all black and tinted charger.

"So..." he said starting conversation.

I didn't know what to say. I just sat there with my hands in my lap.

"You from here?" He asked

"No" I said simply.

This gonna be a long car ride.

•𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐬𝐨𝐧•

She just sat still looking out the window.

No slight movements or anything.

"So where are you from?" I asked

"Dallas, Texas" she said

"What made you come Detroit?" I asked

She looked at her ring and sighed.

"My fiancé" she said.

"How long you two been together?"

"Going on 6 years" she said and I nodded.

"I don't mean to pry but why are you so quiet?"

"I don't know you" she said

"Understandable" I said

"TURN RIGHT ONTO OAKMAN BOULEVARD" the voice said

We rode in silence for the rest of the trip which wasn't long.

But it was very awkward.

"ON THE RIGHT YOU HAVE REACHED YOUR DESTINATION"

"Thank you" she said and hurried up getting out of the car.

That indeed is a very strange woman.
