I woke up being cradled into a warm chest. Burr, it's so cold so I cuddle closer into the warm chest. I hear a chuckle but I don't care.

"Zeke she's a cuddler." The warm chest says. I open my eyes to see that it's dark outside. I can see the stars then I look to my left and see Wilder carrying me cradled to his chest.

"You cold baby?" He asked. I just grumble then scramble in his arms trying to get him to put me down.

"No." Is all he said holding me tighter. Why is he such a creep?

"Yes," I say. He just sighs.

"Fine, but it's only because you've been through a lot." He said putting me on my feet.

"You have no idea," I mumble to myself.

"I have no about what?" He questioned whiles wrapping his warm jacket around me.

"None of your damn business," I said wondering how he heard me. Zeke had Bebe on a leash and was dragging her along with us.

"Hey!" I hell at him. "Let her off now!" I say pointing to Bebe.

"She tried to bite my head off!" He yelled back at me. I just stared at him for a few seconds before looking at Bebe.

"Good girl. You're so good. You tried to bite the bad man." I said walking over to her. Her tail was wagging like crazy and I took the leash off. Wilder was laughing and Zeke just huffed. I was starting to get really cold and I couldn't imagine how Wilder felt with no coat on...even though I really don't know why I care about him. I huff in annoyance at my own thoughts. I didn't even notice Wilder walking behind me and lifting me again.

"Put me down," I say trying to get out of his arms.

"No. I did before I won't again." He said walking towards a huge house. It is a modern house with windows as walls in the kitchen and living room. Bebe follows close behind Wilder and our argument stops when I see the house.

"Do you like it?" Wilder asked. I didn't reply. He knew I liked the house yet I still didn't want to say that I did.

"Okay then. I'll take you up to your bedroom," He said. "Oh and Zeke, if you could take Bebe and her clothes up to her room really quick it would be greatly appreciated. I'll see you tomorrow." Wilder said carrying me into the kitchen.

Wilder carried me into the kitchen and set me on the counter. Even wrapped in Sammy's blanket and Wilder's coat my teeth still chatter.

"What do you want to eat?" Wilder asked looking at me.

"Nothing," I said I'm not hungry, but my traitor stomach had other plans. I mean I usually eat breakfast and a quick lunch before my second job. I don't usually eat dinner, but it is like 2 in the morning so that's my excuse.

"It doesn't sound that way," Wilder said. "Look if you are worried about me making it because you don't trust me than you can have an apple or you can make yourself something." He said grabbing my hand. I yanked back my hand and I saw his hurt expression. It kind of hurt my heart to see him hurt and I knew it was because of the stupid pull I feel for him. Ugh, why doesn't life just quit?

"Um, I'll just have an apple," I said quietly.

"Okay sure." He sounded glad that I was talking to him and not just to insult him this time. He walked over to a basket on the counter and grabbed a knife. This whole thing was making my emotions go whack. I felt sad and happy and scared and broken and loved at the same time. I didn't know where the last one came from but oddly I did feel loved, but as soon as he grabbed the knife I shrunk away whimpered and a flashback came to me.
