Chapter 20

"Morning Sleeping Ugly." I hear laughter from beside me. I open my bloodshot eyes to see Kat laughing at me. My head is tilted at an awkward angle making my neck sore and I have drool on my chin. Fabulous.

"Morning to you too Repugnant. Get it like Rapunzel, but it's repugnant." I laughed as she stuck her lip out pouting.

"Yeah, whatever. I am tired and we need to go to work so go get ready Little Furmaide, I mean look at your legs. Are you an animal?" My laughter stopped abruptly.

"N-no why do y-you ask?" I stuttered surprised by her question. Where did she get that from?

"Chill I'm joking go shower Hoe White, like Snow White, but less innocent." She mumbled the last part as I walked into the bathroom chuckling.

I turned on the shower and let the soft drops cascade down my bare body. I relaxed in the warmth of the water and my neck muscles loosened. I scrubbed my hair and shaved my legs then got out.

"Your turn Kat, I'm going to Wilder's and my room to get clothes. I yelled as I stepped out the bedroom door with only a towel to cover me.

"Okay be safe and don't get lost. If you need help don't ask me." She yelled from inside the bathroom. I chuckled and turned around to come face to face with my best friend in the world. Yay the mother.

"Why are you only in a towel?" She asked looking down at her fingernails.

"Um well I showered in there, but my clothes are in my room," I said politely. I mean I really hated that Wilder's mom didn't like me. I never care what people think, but I care what she thinks.

"Stupid child. You can't even keep your clothes on." She mumbled rolling her eyes and walking away. Well, that went well. I continued my journey through the hallway before I bumped into Raven.

"Oh, my I'm so glad to see you! Have you seen my mate anywhere! I looked under the couch cushions and everything! That's where everything goes." She mumbled the last part. I just laughed.

"Yeah, she is showering in the guest bedroom," I said pointing to the door. Raven sighed and started to walk away.

"Thank you so much!" She yelled running up to the door. I laughed again and continue her on my way to get clothing.

"Adelaide Fox! Why are you not wearing clothing!" I hear a yell from behind me. Shit, it's Wilder.

"Okay well I just showered in the guest bedroom and then I didn't have clothes, so I planned on coming straight to our room, but I ran into the mother and the sister. Now I'm here..." I faded off as I turned to look into his eyes. There were bags under his eyes and he looked like he had been up all night.

"Um, are you okay..." I said slowly. I was a little worried about him not going to lie.

"Yeah, I'm okay. I didn't sleep through." He said quietly walking toward me.

"Why not?" I questioned. He just sighed and wrapped me into an exhausted hug.

"Well, you weren't there so I couldn't sleep." He mumbled against my hair. Aww how cute. I turned in his embrace and wrapped my arms around his waist.

"Let's get you to bed. I have a feeling that Kat isn't going to make it work today, because of Raven." I mumbled dragging us both towards our room.

"Yeah," Wilder mumbled. Once I got Wilder into bed I quickly put on a tank top and a pair of yoga pants before climbing into bed with him. Bebe jumped up onto the bed and curled into a ball at my feet. I love that dog so much. I curled myself into Wilder's side and he wrapped his strong arms around my tiny body.

"Sleep beautiful," Wilder mumbled against my hair. I hummed and snuggled closer.

"You too, except your not beautiful, well you are, but I'm sure you don't want to be called beautiful I mean-" I started.

"Shhh just sleep beautiful." He interrupted me. I hummed again and rested my head on his chest. As soon as I did I was out like a light. It used to take me hours to get to sleep, but with him it only takes minutes. It was perfect, he was perfect, we are perfect.
