Pairing: Sakura x Itachi
Setting: Modern AU
The Prison is a cold place. Specially for those who doesn't belong. But Sakura didn't think it was a cold place. And actually, she was sure she did belong, because it was actually much cozier there in the prison than the friends who had turned on her once they framed her of stealing and murder.
But for someone like Itachi who murdered his family for the sake of all the others who were in danger because of them, the prison felt cold and dark.
They met each other through yard work and luncheon.
Sakura would always see him hanging around the bad shots; the blonde bomber, the human taxidermist, the twisted masochist, and the rest of the gang. To Sakura, it felt like he didn't belong.
Then they got closer.
A relationship they shared because of their relationship to Sasuke. They talked about him all the time, until they started talking about each other, until the time they didn't need to talk to know each other at all.
Then the trial came.
"Death Sentence?!"
Sakura wept when she was proven innocent. She hoped she wasn't, she hoped she'd be given the same end as Itachi did. But that would be unfair for him.
But she'll try. She'll live for the man who died for the people he saved against his family.
