Pairing: Sakura x Tobirama
Setting: Canon
Being reborn was the cruelest curse that Sakura could ever get.
"Look Sakura-chan! That is the Hokage Monument! And those are the Hokages who served this village long before us!" Mebuki smiled at her silent toddler.
"T-tobi?" Sakura murmured childishly as an image of white hair and red streaks flashed before her eye.
"What was that Sakura-chan?"
"Iie"

She remembers her past life. She remembers her brothers, her cousins, her clan, her friends her lover. Her lover.
Sakura couldn't deny the fact that she was homesick at home.
She feels foreign in familiarity.
She wants to go back.
She can't.

"Wife? Where are you?" Tobirama yelled inside their home as he searched for his lover. He felt something wrong when he was still on the Hokage tower. He felt it more clearly when he reached the Senju compound.
Then with his keen senses he smelt the familiar gut wrenching stench of rusted iron. Blood.
"SAKURA! WIFE!" Tobi yelled as he raced to the direction of their bedroom.
There she was, bleeding from a stab in the heart.
Tobirama lost his strength at the sight.

"Edo tensei"

"Tobi?"
"Sakura?"
"Tobi! I miss you!"
The people watching were confused at the sight of the 2nd Hokage hugging their colleague as if his life depended on it.
"Sakura, I love you, you know that right?"
"As I do you"
"I know but... You need to let me go, Sakura, we are not in the same lifetime anymore"
"I don't want to! I love you! I miss you! I want to be with you!"
"Maybe in another life, I'll find you then, Sakura. I'll find you, I promise"
"Look for me! And I'll find my way to you Tobirama"
Sakura cried harder when Tobirama started to be taken by the wind. Like dust powder, he flew out of existence.
