Prompt Idea
Pairing: Sakura x Sasuke
Setting: Imperial Dynasties
Part 2

6 months.

For 6 months, Sakura thought she was delusional.

Schizophrenic. That's what the doctor said, that's what they diagnosed her with— and she believed it. She took medications, thinking it would stop her imagination.

It didn't. Because everytime she looks at the wardrobe, another door flashes on her eyes.

Until the end of the 6th month that the flashes became clearer and more tangible.

Sasuke wanted his healer back. His beloved, his only love. The hurt he felt when the girl he has grown closer too and grown to care for began to fade before his eyes was so overwhelming that he drank the nights away.

The king, Itachi Uchiha, has noticed his brother's mood as well and decided that he would take it upon himself to search for the young maiden Sasuke has fallen for.

Anything to make his little brother happy.

Sakura found herself back by the river, sleeping on the cot that she made herself.

"Hey! Hey! You! Girl! Who are you?"

The palace guards who were on their daily warden duties yelled when he saw a moving person on the private property that was by the river. The guard didn't know why the royal family bought this specific piece of land, but it must have something to do with that woman they were searching.

Sakura looked at the guards in confusion and decided to reveal her face.

The guard gaped.

"Haruno-sama?"

"They found her, Itachi-sama!"

Itachi's calm demeanor broke when he heard the news, suddenly he was standing and walking out of the room, instructing the guards to bring her in and taking care of her.

He knew what happened, his spies told him what happened when Sakura magically disappeared.

Sasuke woke up to his brother standing by his bed.

"Good morning little brother, time to move, we have some things to do."

Sasuke groaned in annoyance, not  minding that he was talking to the king.

"Nii-san! I want to sleep more!" Sasuke whined like a child.

"Move. Now. I have a surprise for you"

"Ugh! Okay!"

The garden was a bittersweet place for Sasuke.

It was the place of the greatest memories he had with Sakura but it was also the place were Sakura was taken from him.

On the center of the garden stood a figure that Sasuke already recognizes even from a longer distance.

"Sakura?"

He finally said her name so casually. Something that Sakura always wanted him to call her.

"Hello, Sasuke" Sakura grinned.

"How?"

"I am not sure. All I know is that, I was sent here the same way I did the first time."

"The wardrobe?"

"The wardrobe"

Sasuke smiled. A rare smile that was always reserved for people he was close to. His hand shook as it slowly raised to touch her cheeks. To make sure she was real.

She was.

"I must say... You're more handsome than the last time I saw you"

"I lost a lot of weight while you were gone-"

"Still handsome" Sakura paused. "Although- I think we have a conversation we haven't finished."

"Oh? What is it?"

"I love you too"

Sasuke's eyes comically widened and Sakura chuckled.

"Sasuke, I love you too"

Sasuke's smile brightened and he pulled Sakura closer, shortening the distance between their faces and leaving a kiss on her lips.

"I love you so much, Sakura. More than my life. More than this world. You are my world"
