Setting: Modern AU
Classmates. Friends. Lovers.
That's how Sasori and Sakura met and became together. I know, normal right? College sweethearts, planning marriages, planning family. Having a good life. Normal and no problem at all.
"He's dead."
Sakura crumpled in disbelief. How? How was he dead just like that?
"His heart gave up"
"That's not true! Y-you know that's not true! I know Sasori! He has a strong heart! He's very healthy! He'll get out of it, he's very strong! I've seen it all the time! He bounces back!" Sakura yelled in denial, her eyes wide and watery as she stared at the doctor.
"LET ME SEE HIM!"
"I'm sorry, only family members can enter the morgue"
"No! I want to see him! Let me see him! I won't BELIEVE HE'S DEAD! I-I wont-" Sakura shakily breathed in.

"Who are you?"
"Sasori!"
"I apologise, I've never met you before"
"They told me you were dead"
"I'm sorry how do you know this? How'd you know my name?"
"I'm your fiance! Don't you remember?"
"I'm sorry! I have a fiance and I'm pretty sure it's not you"
Sasori's family were rich in the first place. Sakura must have been delusional to think they'll end up together no problem.
