CHAPTER TWO: SECOND NATURE

I stepped outside my house before singing, “oh god here we go again, coming out with the latest trends. Cause god knows I can’t go out of style. Oh dang just look at me, what a guy what a sight to see. Mother once said I have a heart of gold!” I paused taking a breath as the bus pulled up.
“You ready to go Daniel?” Kris said through the window as I got a text from Jorel. I only looked at it once I was on the bus.

Jay: Yo, Dan? Wanna hang out today? I’ll bring Matt

Me: I wish I could, but I’m going on tour

Jay: we could join you guys, just send me the list of places and dates.

Me: May 21st at LACM, they asked me to come and play for the band competition, other bands are gonna be there too

Jay: we’re going to that as well, where else?

Me: then we head to Iowa on May 30th
Me: then on June 1st we go to Denver, Colorado
Me: June 13th we go to Michigan, Ohio
Me: June 20th we go to Kansas City
Me: June 24th we go to Tallahassee, Flordia
Me: and then the tour is done

Jay: nice, so you’ll be back before we go on tour, sweet!
Jay: We just put out Desperate Mesures, but the thing is, Aron doesn’t wanna go on the tour for the album

Me: so you want me to fill in or?

Jay: Yeah, if you can, it’s a month after your concert.
Me: I was planning on being on American Idol to see if I should continue pursuing the music career

Jay: why? Your voice is Amazing!

Me: to you guys maybe

Jay: Dan, you can ht the highest notes that most men can’t, You’ve got the face of a young angel and the voice of a heavenly soldier Daniel Rose Murillo!

Me: can I tell you something?

Jay: always!

Me: Matt and I kissed and I feel guilty

Jay: Why do you feel guilty?

Me: because I sorta have a girlfriend, but I was too gone to realize that she was my girlfriend

Jay: wanna call?

Me: yeah
 As I sent that my phone rang, Jorel
“Hey Dan, I have a few questions”
“Ask away”
“How many times did you kiss?”
“I can’t remember, twice I think”
“How long have you been with your girlfriend”
“I’ve been with Reese for five months.”
“Do you still love her?”
“Yes, I think.”
“What have you gotten each other?”
“She gave me a pitbull pup last night.”
“Awe, what’s his name?”
“Lui,” I responded before Kris raised his eyebrow.

“Lui?” Kris asked before I paused.
“Hey, do you mind if I put you on speakerphone?”
“No problem!” and I sighed in relief.
“Ok, so Lui is my new pitbull puppy.”
“Woah, Danny, and a dog, that’s dangerous!” Kris joked and I laughed with them.
“Anyways, does Reese know about it?”
“No-”
“Know about what?”
“Kris please don’t tell her! But I kissed one of my guy friends, whom I have feelings for.”
“You do realize that Reese is pregnant, right?”
“What!?! Oh my god!”I dropped my phone to grab my head.
“Dan?”
“No no no no no no no!” I prayed hoping it was a cruel prank.
“It’s true Dan, she is a month pregnant.”
“Oh god! Why didn’t I see this!”
“Dan- You got your girlfriend pregnant?”I heard Jordan ask with his general tone.
“Apparently!” I said freaking out.
“Dan-Dan?” Matt asked and I felt my face heat up.
“I’m sorry Matty!” I cried with my face getting redder by the second.
“It’s fine Dan-Dan, just be a good dad to the child for me-”
“I love you, Matty!” I cried into the phone cutting him off
“I love you too Daniel!” He said calmly through the phone.
“I meant the kiss between us Matty!”
“I know, But you have a girlfriend who's pregnant, and you have to take care of her until the baby arrives.”
“But I want you, Matty!”
“I want you too, but you gotta think about the baby, do you want it to grow up without a father?”
“I am the father.”
“I know, but she could go for no joint custody before the child is born.”
“She wouldn’t do that, she’s a nurse, she wants the best for someone.”
“Call her then, use Kris’s phone.” I sighed before calling her number.

“Hey, Reese,”
“Daniel?”
“Is it true? Are you pregnant?”
“Yes, I'm sorry I didn’t tell you sooner I just was afraid you wouldn’t want the baby and leave me.”
“Well I- I might sound like a horrible person, but the last part is true, but I want joint custody so the baby has a father.”
“I understand, do you wanna know the gender of the baby when I go?”
“Yes, also if it’s a girl I was thinking Scarlett Blue, or if it’s a boy I was thinking Roman Eve.”
“What about Scarlett Eve for a girl, and Roman Blue for a boy.”
“Even better! Also thank you for being so understanding about this.”
“It’s no problem, just tell me who has your eyes, and heart?”
“His name is Matthew Alexis Busic.”
“The drummer for Jorel’s band?”
“Yes.”
“Very well then, at least the child will be in good hands.” 
“Thank you, and I’ll see you when I get home,” I said, hanging up on her with a smile.
